That size tag can't be right!
Yesterday was a gloomy day and with the day off I thought it would be a perfect day to go through my closet again. I drug the tubs of "too small" clothes from the attic and decided to go through everything. There were a pair of size 8 couduroys that I thought what the heck I'll see how far up I can get them. I was able to button and zip them - SIZE 8! Granted they are tight but it sure made me feel good. In the pile there were a bunch of size 10's that fit. It's been a long time. But this brings up another irritation of mine - the sizing of women's clothes. Right now in my closet I have anywhere from that one size 8 to size 14 that I am wearing. Most of my current slacks are either size 10 or 12, but I have a pair of size 10's that I can't even get past my thighs. It sure would make life simpler if all manufacturers sized the same. Oh well, I know that complaint has been voiced a gazillion times before. Have a great week everyone!

I'm with ya on the sizing! And I'm convinced that older clothes are sized smaller than the current things you buy at the store today... to make us all feel better because the number is smaller.
My closet largely consists of Goodwill finds, and I'm wearing SOME 10's, but mostly 12's. Probably the only reason I don't have any 14's in my closet is because that's the size my mom wears and I gave her all of my clothes that I may have still worn if they were in my closet. I have mostly Larges in shirts, but sometimes that's too tight on me, and then there are the odd couple of Mediums that I can wear.
It's crazy, but I do love the selection in regular sizes, for sure!

Congrats! Can't wait for that myself! And I too love the selection in regular sizes! I'm in a 14 (kind of skipped 16, yay!) and moving towards a 12, so plus size section goodbye and good riddance! Thank you for your post, we are sharing your victory!

I remember a couple of years ago when I was wearing size 12 which shocked me. I bought a pair of size 12 shorts in Singapore on vacation and was shocked later to find out that are us size 8. I mostly wear 10s now and it amazes me to be able to buy regular sized clothes!
I spend way too much money on clothes now though!
