Time since surgery 10 months tomorrow 156.2 this morning. Time to get buckled back down to reach my goal before my one year anniversary!!!!!

Good morning all! Welcome back Daisy!
Today our schedule goes back to normal and I am so glad of it. I am currently mending the knees on my son's pants with the second Hobbit movie running in the background. After this task is done I'll be pulling out my clay and getting back to work :)
QOTD: My three must-have apps are MFP, Amazon Alexa (this goes with the echo), and BariatricPal (I love that I can peruse the forums easily, I wish OH would do an app too!)

I used to have the Bariatric Pal app but I really didn't find the same sense of camraderie on there so I rarely log in there anymore. Occasionally I will find a post looking for Canadians or Ontarians and I quickly direct them here. Not sure if that's acceptable but no one has called me out on it.

Absolutely agree....I like it because I can peruse threads and read interesting WLS related stuff there while I'm on the go, but in terms of actually truly interacting with people the OH crew wins hands down!

I got to get back on the wagon. I had a plan yesterday but a friend came to visit and she took me out for lunch involved a cupcake. Today is a new day

On Thursday we are going to Lancaster to spend s few days and meet up with another young family that are friends with my son and daughter in law.

Hi Everyone- Welcome back to all the holiday vacationer's! I'm loving these short weeks- I won't be working a full week again until sometime after MLK day.

Morning gang! The holiday break was good and I am glad to be through all of the busy. Last night was nuts. My Guy is out of town for training for the month and one of my college kids is home. She and I made a wonderful Instant Pot chicken recipe for dinner last night and it was super good. Low fat, low cal, and high protein...all the good stuff. But she wanted rice with it...so white rice happened. Then I apparently developed a bottomless pit in my pouch! Oh my goodness! Like...nothing seemed to make it feel full. I ate the chicken and rice. Reasonable portion...all good. Then...still felt hungry...more chicken and rice. Then an apple. Then some of those damn Triskets (didn't even try to count how many). Then a 100 calorie bag of popcorn. Then some of her regular popcorn (my daughter left it there...just sitting right next to me...calling to me!). Then some strawberries. Then...no kidding...I got up at 1:30AM STARVING and had a toasted peanut butter and jelly (WHHAAA! Real jelly...why? It just sounded SOOOO good) sandwich. Geezum pete! I just don't even know what that was. Felt really out of control in the eating. I started the new medication for my heart on Sunday not sure if that caused it or if it was emotional related to having my Guy out of the house. Going to have to get that figured out real fast though. This morning I weighed in at 122.8 (up from 121.0 yesterday****ep telling myself one wacky day does not make a trend. Hoping that is not something I struggle with again tonight. On the bright side...there was not much junk in the house so even though I ate way too much at least it was mostly ok choices. Ok...except for Triskets and jelly...but still. LOL

Menu: B and L are the last of my homemade Greek yogurt with strawberries. That is all I grabbed in the mad dash for the door. Today my son went back to school and I was ill prepared for the get him school routine. D: Bean-less Chili, S: Apparently my whole kitchen...sigh... we shall see.
LUNCHBOX for D: Pretty sad but it was better than nothing. At least I had prepped the strawberries at 1:30 in the morning so they were quick to grab or I wouldn't have even had them. LOL I was a mess last night.
Accountability: 122.8 and see above. Smoking quit is still a mess but my plan is to try no cigarettes at all tomorrow. Since my Guy is out of the house this should be a good time to try for a full day again. I meant to use my vape thingy today but the rush out the door threw me off and I forgot to grab it.
