Good morning! I'm not really a couponer. I've tried and like others have said--do better by bargain shopping. I typically make 2-3 stops on grocery day. First is a local Dutch run discount grocery store which has scratch and dent type dry items as well as bulk Dutch foods and deli. Then I hit Aldi to get everything I can from there. Lastly I go to the local Walmart to get whatever I cannot find at the previous two places. I still usually spend $200 on light weeks or $250 on big weeks. We have 5 kids at home though so that explains a lot.
B- tea w/fairlife milk and stevia; 1 scrambled egg, 1/2 biscuit with gravy; 1 mini muffin. (Made kids breakfast).
L- warm premier protein
D- 3 oz chicken with ham and provolone
totals- cals- 730; protein- 79

Ooh, tell me about Aldi. My parents have one nearby their house and I have been tempted to try but I don't ever like to walk into a grocery store without a plan. What is good there?

I buy bread, milk and eggs there every week. They have a lot of specialty cheeses and things as well. On regular groceries it's just trial and error but I haven't found too much we don't like. Oh and frozen medium ****tail shrimp are a great price at our Aldi.

I usually get milk, eggs, cheese, coffee, and produce at Aldi to save money. Avocados are a lot cheaper there than in the regular grocery stores.

QOTD I've never really used coupons much as it takes way too much organization to clip them, file them and then remember to take them to the store. I buy store brands on most things anyway. Raining off and on here in Illinois but Lily and I did our 3.2 miles anyway. Kind of like the postal service. That shows how much I really hate the treadmill. Post op 4 years 4 months and weight at 117 today. Here's the plan for food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli ham and cheese 1/2 c cauliflower D 1 c chili S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some wonderful choices that move you one step closer to your goal!
