What's on Your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Ahhh, it's my last day off before reality sets back in...it's been a wonderful week off, my friends. Today I woke up at 5, so that I can ease back into an alarm going off at 4:30 tomorrow. I am really not looking forward to that :( But even though I am sad to leave vacation paradise, I am also little relieved to get back to some routines and to stop having the entire house full of food at my fingertips all day.
Yesterday I went to the supermarket for a BIG shop for the first time in ages and it feels good to know I have zillions of good choices here. I now have lots of deli meats, yogurts, lots of cheese choices, tuna packets galore, plus I got all the fixins for Chef's Salads with bacon, hb eggs, and grilled chicken. I also splurged and got prosciutto, peppered goat cheese and fig jam so that I can try to recreate that delicious grilled cheese I had at a restaurant a few weeks ago. My home version will be in Sara Lee 45 calorie bread, so probably won't hold up to the real thing, but I am excited to try! I will report back tomorrow.
Yesterday at the market there was a woman in front of me with 3 kids and she had SO MANY coupons! The kids (who were aged about 5 - 9) were helping to get them out of different envelopes and hand them in. It was so organized and very clear that this is their routine. QOTD: Do you clip coupons? I never have...I haven't spent any time trying to do it right but every time I tried, I found that it was the wrong brand, or I had to buy too many, or something else. Even when I was MO, I could see that I would be wasting money to buy something that I didn't need or was bad for me. I did, however, used to use an online grocery shopping/delivery service when I lived in the city. I didn't use coupons, but I could shop straight from their circulars and I think I used to save a lot of money that way.

Morning!! Today's the last day of my long weekend, I'm proud to say I've done almost nothing all weekend. Kids don't go back to school until Wednesday- lucky!!
No plans today- I really need to grocery shop too but I'm holding out till the weekend. Qotd: I use coupons randomly. They usually expire too fast before I'm ready to buy the item- or like you- I don't need 2 or 3 of something. I'm more diligent about using coupons for non-food items: health &beuaty, cleaning products etc. I used to buy the Sunday paper just for the coupons, but I don't even bother now.

Good Morning JB and Menu Family!
QOTD: I occasionally use coupons if it's for something I really need and will use. But usually I find buying the generic brand without a coupon is cheaper than buying the brand name with a coupon.
B: crepe w/ peaches & cream cheese
L: lettuce, spinach, chicken, cheese, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing
D: stuffed peppers
Exercise: Walking my dog around the subdivision.
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

Good Morning! Yesterday was weigh in day for me and down another 2 pounds! I'm very excited and proud. I know the weight loss will slow down soon, and I was expecting it to be this week. But not just yet I guess. Nice surprise!
QOTD: I don't do coupons. I wish I did. I'm not even sure why I don't. Maybe I should buckle down and start? Haha I never did in the past because I seldom seen any coupons for items I typically bought. But now, our grocery store sends you coupons based on what your shopping history is. So they are awesome and yet I honestly only have taken them with me while shopping like 2-3 times!! May have to start to reconsider this coupon thing now that you have me thinking about them. haha
B: coffee
L: swiss burgers with cottage cheese
D: hubby cooks tonight so have to wait until I get home to find out
Morning! Today is the last day before my kiddo and husband head back to school/work and my last day before our regular routine kicks back into gear. I've loved having them home but after a full week I find that I'm craving some quiet time so I'm looking forward to tomorrow ;) I hurt my knee last week and it's still pretty stiff when I first start moving around in the morning, but it's getting better...hoping to get on the elliptical today.
QOTD: I've never been a good coupon clipper, I always have the best of intentions but I tend to either forget them at home, forget I have them in my purse while checking out, or just plain forget to clip them altogether!
Menu:
B: Protein Shake, Coffee
S: Hardboiled eggs (time to do another batch!)
L: Leftover chicken veggie soup w/brown rice
S: Cheese "crackers" (eggface recipe)
D: Lasagna sans noodles - I'll use zucchini in place of the noodles - hubby can have the real stuff
L: Water Water Water, and tea
E: Elliptical - it's waaaaaaay soggy today and will probably be that way for a good portion of the week. I guess I should be thankful it's not snow!
Have a good day guys!

I'd be unstoppable if not for law enforcement & physics
I made a zucchini-for-noodle and a regular lasagna for Christmas. The regular one is long gone, but we still have some of the zucchini one left, so my husband has been "forced" to eat it. He said he really can't tell the difference between that one and the traditional one. I would agree - the noodles really didn't have much taste, and their function seemed to be to hold the layers apart. The pieces of zucchini do that as well. So from now on, we're only making the zucchini one. He's on board with that, too!
