What's on Your Sunday (NEW YEAR'S DAY!) Menu, RNYers?
Good morning, all. I spent NYE cleaning house and baking a cherry cake for my dear MIL. Tomorrow is her birthday, so we are celebrating a day early! Funny thing is...I have been living without sugar in my life for a while now. I had DH taste the beater since it's a new recipe. It was off. So, I took a little dab to taste and realized that I didn't even add sugar. Oh, go****hank goodness I got it fixed and it's now all iced and decorated and ready to go.
QOTD: I'm a lot like Daisy, here. I always say that I am going to lose weight, and this is my year. In 2017, I resolve to get to my goal or even less.
Here's menu:
B: mozzarella with spicy salami
S: babybel
L: roast, black eyed peas, mashed sweet potatoes
S: yogurt while everyone else has cake. May add PB2.
D: leftover roast
S: cheese stick
L: on track
V: started
E: walked three miles this morning. Will try to get another three in after dinner.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
*edited because I'm on my phone this morning and autocorrect hates me.

Baking post op can be tricky! I made a couple of new things this Christmas, and I couldn't rely on my husband, as everything is great to him hahaha. I had to make sure my mom and sister tried them, to see if they were "just good", or "serve them to people you don't know very well at an event good" haha

I did the same! Did a bunch of baking for my mom and sister to serve during their holiday gatherings and every time I gave something to my BF to try he'd just say "You're hired!"...any and all samples are fabulous to him. Made sure my mom and sister tried things they were going to serve before they put them out.

Hapy New Year everyone!!I wish for a happy and successful year for all my peeps.
QOTD. I never make resolutions. I am fully aware that I'm either going to do something, or I won't. And making a resolution won't get me to follow through. I do have goals in mind for this year, but was told I wasn't allowed to post them.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

Another chilly day here in Illinois but Lily and I bundled up and did our 3.2 miles anyway. I was in bed last night by 10. I think hubby was the only one who made it to see the ball drop. Post op 4 years 4 months and weight at 117.4 today. I don't really do resolutions but do have the goal of camping as much as possible and as soon as possible and seeing another 25 national or state parks in the new year. Other goal is to stay active and maintain my weight right where it is for another year. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz hamburger and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 1 c chili S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal!
I love your camping goal. I'm not sure how far north you want to go, but for Canada's 150 birthday, All national parks are free for 2017!

Good morning and Happy New Year from a still sleepy and quiet house!
our NYE was fun. My inlaws used to host a massive house party. Now it's held at a small local cafe/pub that would normally be closed. It's perfect; has the vibe of a house party, with no clean up.
qotd: I'm not so much into resolutions, but I find it impossible not to take stock of ones life this time of year. What works, what I'm not happy with. It's a time of reflection for me. Last new year, my long term health was my primary concern, I attended my first wls open house the first week of January, and never looked back. I also realized I had no hobbies, so I've spent time pursuing new ones.
This year, I want to continue on that trajectory, with a renewed focus on my physical fitness. Also, I would like to become more engaged in my community. I think I will do that through volunteer work. I have reached out to different refugee and resettlement organizations, and I am looking into joining my community association (a little wary on this one, as I've served on boards before, and not sure I'm ready for another round of that just yet haha)
menu:
B:protein shake
L/D tbd everyone else here is still asleep, but there was talk of a sleigh ride and snowshoeing.I'm not confident they'll feel as ambitious this morning hahaha so I have no idea where the day is headed.
my eating has been on point, but probably too much salt. Mostly protein. In keeping with the theme of the holidays, liquids are a bit of a struggle. I still get at least 2 L easily, but not my usual 4-5.
have a great new year everyone!

Haha well, typically my day is:
250ml glass of water with my vitamins
2 cups of decaf coffee which equals about 600ml
throughout the day, I have a sports bottle that fits 750 ml and I keep with me all the time and fill about 4 times before dinner. Then in the evening I'll usually have an herbal tea, about 300ml And if I'm super keen, I'll fill my bottle again.... but not if it's an early to bed night, because I'll be up all night haha.
that works out to between 4300ml and 5000ml.
i do add flavourings to change things up too.
