What's on Your Sunday (NEW YEAR'S DAY!) Menu, RNYers?
on 1/1/17 4:42 am
Good morning everyone! We made it! It's a New Year! I have really exciting hopes and wishes for you all to achieve your goals in 2017!!!!
Yesterday was a little bit silly! I posted that we were planning on having friends over, but they were sick and canceled, so we did....NOTHIN'! I mean, we didn't even leave the house all day! Of course, I made cookies before I knew that they were canceling and made myself ill eating one (uuugh). I eventually threw the rest out. Other than baking cookies, I was so lazy that I am pretty sure I got negative steps on my new Apple Watch, heh. And yet somehow, the house looks like a bomb went off in it. So today is a back-on-track/stop-being-lazy/clean-the-damn-house day :/
Speaking of that, [QOTD] are you a "resolutions" type person? I never have been, simply because I never understood why marking today as the new start to the new year is important. I mean, every day has the potential to be that, right? Anyway, maybe it is an excuse to not have to follow through (LOL), but I am just not a resolutions list person... However, I do hope to get myself into some more healthy routines now that I am fully moved in with Grim and I don't have going back and forth between 2 houses as an excuse anymore. I will definitely try to set up some better exercise routines, going forward.
Confession: I did NOT eat on plan yesterday. I probably ended up with fewer calories than I posted I was going to since I didn't end up having my Gingerbread Martinis, but I was not very disciplined at all. I am heading to the market later, and I hope that having real food in the house will help me stick to a plan.
B: Fit Frappe Protein Coffee
S: Greek Yogurt
L: Turkey Slices with Cranberry Goat Cheese on Wasa Crackers
S: Deli Roast Beef and Swiss Cheese Roll Ups
D: ?? (probably ham or steak)
I hope you all have an awesome start to the New Year! Make it great!

Good Morning and Happy New Years!
As for how we spent New Years eve? Sleeping! I regret not a single minute of it! Needed some extra zzz's so went to bed at 10pm and feel so much better this morning because of it. Yes, we are older. haha
QOTD: Far as New Years Resolutions goes. Instead of trying to change things in my life or about me, this year I plan on adding/doing more things that make me happy! I can't stop bad things from happening, but I can continue to find happiness and just add to that list. The things to be thankful for and happy about are far more than the negative.
B: coffee
L: chicken strips
D: chili for a cold day

Great idea! I like your resolution :)
p.s. just noticing that you don't have a lot of food on there... Are you getting in your minimum protein?

I add protein powder (unflavored) to all my coffee and carnation drinks I drink. Just makes things easier for me. Haha
Good morning!
I am a resolutions person and I am sure that every year for my entire making resolutions life it's been to lose weight. So this year it's going to happen!!
As as far as Menu - we are going to our best friends house for today and tomorrow. Optifast starts on Thursday so other than portion control, I'm not keeping track.
Wishing all my menu crew the very best in 2017!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
QOTD: I don't make New Year's resolutions. I like what you said, Julia, about every day having the potential for being a new start. And I like Brandi Girl's idea of doing more things that make you happy.
B: crepe w/ peaches & cream cheese
L: chili dog
D: lettuce, chicken, cheese, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking my dog around the subdivision.
Have a super day today and a FANTASTIC 2017 everyone!

Morning friends and welcome to 2017 and cheers to a better year!!! Yesterday ended up being a pretty okay day. My daughter decided instead of going partying with her friends she wanted to go out to dinner with her parents and home to play board games and watch Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper on CNN. We had a blast an I will take it.
QOTD: Yup always make the resolution to diet, exercise and lose weight and yup always quit by mid January. Not anymore the diet and losing weight I am kind of on the right track with. As for exercise I have a close friend at work who actually does personal training as his hobby so a couple of weeks ago I pulled him the conference room and said we needed to have a chat. Told him my secret (that in March I did not go to Florida on vacation for 8 days I had gastric bypass surgery) after he picked his mouth up off the floor I told him I was dealing with a lot of loose skin and needed to hire someone to help me tone up. He said you are not hiring anyone we have been friends for 20 years I love you like my sister and I am doing it for free. So starting Wednesday he has plan for the third part of my resolution that always falls apart by January 7... I am going into it full of excitement hope and just hope he does not kill me by Saturday!
Now for food....
B: Decaf coffee, ff half and half... Chibani Flip
L: meatball and sausage w/ cheese and marina sauce (family is coming over and I am making them stuffed shells)
D: leftovers there is so many in the fridge so buffet it is for everyone as my daughter has friends popping in and out all day and other family is visiting as well.
Have a great day everyone.... TTFN!
What a great friend!
