Good morning everyone!

I'm baaaack! I have been on vacation since the 23rd and I decided to take a break from OH, too. I have only glanced at the RNY board about 3 times since then, which is huge for me, since I am usually checking 3 times an hour :) So I have missed all of your posts and I'm not caught up on your holidays--I hope everyone had a wonderful time! I definitely had a perfect week. Daisy and her hubby came to visit me and Grim in Boston, and we had so much fun. We all ate like crap (Daisy managed to lose 2lbs, and Lord knows, I didn't!), but finding the balance between eating off plan is part of maintenance and I don't regret the choices I made. Other than a lascivious date with a 1/2 pound Reeses Cup, and some homemade "Cookie Butter" fudge, I think I did okay.

It's the last day of the year... I know people are complaining a lot about 2016, given the election and terrible losses we have had (RIP to Prince, David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, etc.) but I have to say that personally, I have had a really great year! I have a job I love, I got down to my goal weight and have maintained for 10 months, and now I have this perfect boyfriend, and a new home with him. QOTD: Let's end on a high--what has been the best thing about 2016 for you?!?

Tonight, to ring in the New Year, we have some friends coming over to play Cards Against Humanity and we'll serve some appetizers and cookies. Oh, and Gingerbread Martinis (yuuuuum)! I imagine that I will partake in all of it, a little bit, but I won't go overboard. Just like the rest of the world, I will get back on track tomorrow. Ahhh. Anyway, here is the plan for today:

B: Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Coffee

S: Greek Yogurt

L: Leftover Turkey

S: Chomps Meat Stick and Babybel Cheese

D: Feta and Caramelized Onion Tarts (from Trader Joe's--OMG so good!) & Russian Tea Cookies & 1 Gingerbread Martini made with Vodka, Kahlua and SF Gingerbread Torani Syrup

Good Morning and Welcome Back!!

I'm with you! 2016 was a GREAT year for me!! Not perfect and not without it's bumps, but over all if each year could be like this one I would have a pretty good life and nothing much to complain about! As far as QOTD: Best thing out of  the year it would be hard to say! Guess maybe learning more at my job which I LOVE and given a large raise by boss to show her appreciation for me was an awesome surprise!! It's always nice to be told your appreciated and we all look forward to a raise. But when you get both just at a random time and they are way more than you could have ever expected, it's hard to say you had a bad year.

D: (hope) chopped steak, green beans, and cottage cheese with hubby

P.S. We love playing Cards Against Humanity on our game nights!!! I got all the expander packs for Christmas

qotd: hands down, my surgery is the best part of 2016. To say I've lost nearly 100 pounds in a year is amazing. I won't get home until the 2nd, so I won't know the final total then. Which is  killing me haha.

D:roast beef I think.

Good Morning Everyone! Today I am having my family over for a turkey dinner and bonfire. I am sure that I will be in bed by 9pm, but thats okay! 

QOTD- My highs for the year is my surgery!! My daughter getting married and accepted into nursing school and my husband home from his deployment! I am just very thankful for my family! 

 

5 1/2 weeks out from surgery

 

B- 2 poached eggs

L- 2 ounces albacore tuna with light mayo

D- turkey and I am not sure what else.

Morning JB- 

im so glad your holidays went well. Totally jealous of the time you spent with Daisy and her hubby. I've been on my run, I did my furthest distance yet-4.34 miles. I think I'm going to build toward 5 miles in 2017. No plans today- unless you call a Netflix binge plans. I'm finishing up season 4 of wentworth and my sister is pushing me to start underground. I bought two appetizer type foods to munch on- crab stuffed mushrooms and sweet honey goat cheese balls.

Qotd: if I had to narrow down my 'defining' moments for  me for 2016- it was 1) my evil, incompetent ex-boss she-ra stepping down from her position 2) my son getting accepted to the private school he preferred, 3) losing my aunt- it reinforced the importance of family and how much mine has shaped who I am.

20 months out, 195.3 today

m1: 1/4 of a soft pretzel

m2: likely ham and sweet potatoes 

m3: beef stew 

m4: appetizers

Your runs are super inspiring. I really need to get back to it. I am vowing to get out today and run, and I won't come home until I find some street money. Lol!

PS sweet honey goat cheese balls sound like the best thing ever!

Good morning....

2016 has both been a blessing and curse for me and my family... The best part has to have been my surgery and so far having lost the extra person I was caring around.  I am looking forward to  losing another little person to get to my goal.  I have had some great success at work as well working and look forward to the next couple years to see where it takes me.  The curse had to be the passing of my mom what a blow to my family we knew it would happen some day just not when it did and the another blow was a close friend of my daughters passing away 19 is just way to young for friends and family to have to say goodbye..  It has been a rough year for my daughter so we are all looking forward to saying goodbye to 2016 and hoping 2017 is a better year for us all.

Tonight is up in the air for us we have not decided what we are doing but hoping something fun.  I miss that the city close to use does not do a First Night anymore we used to love going to that.  Now the closest one is a couple of hours away.

As this is my last post of the year I want to say Happy New Years to my you my new friends.... I am so happy to have found you all and have you in my life I enjoy my daily readings of all your adventures and appreciate your helping to keep me accountable and that you are here for me when I have questions or just need a pick me up!!  I hope that the next year is wonderful for us all but if not we are all in this together!

So sorry for your losses. 2015 was that kind of year for me... it does get better! Congrats on your awesome progress towards your goal!
