What's on your (Photo) Friday Menu RNYers?
Thanks for starting us out Deanna- I am working from home today and since the office isn't opening until 9:00, I slept in and it FELT so good- I was really tired.
I'm so sorry about the funeral and the loss of your friend's son- that is beyond sad.
QOTD- If I could have any gift- well my first thought was that I would want DH and I not to have to worry about money- not to be rich but to always have enough for our own house, a 2nd vehicle, college tuition. But on the level that you are mentioning- I think I'd like to be able to give the gift of empathy- just let everyone feel what it feels liketo be in someone else's shoes. I guess we all have that within us, but perhaps we just don't work at it as we should.
Menu today- full disclosure here- I'm not really watching what I eat this week. I'm not binging but I am having fun. Last night I had fish and chips- It was a regular order and I took my time and savoured them. I wouldn't call it a food funeral because I'm honestly not feeling any sense of loss - but I do know that I may never have that again. And I'm okay with that. But what I've been trying to do is to just eat healthy at breakfast and lunch, and even if I have something that isn't healthy, I don't go back for 2nds. I think I'm going to have steel cut oats for breakfast and chilli for lunch and then I think leftover turkey for dinner. My weight has stayed the same over the holidays, and optifast starts in 6 days. 13 DAYS - less than 2 weeks until surgery.
Have a great day everyone.

Don't feel bad about not being perfect for a few days before your surgery. It's definitely a great idea to get into the good habits prior to surgery, but you've done so well, and as long as you're not going head first into everything all day, everyday... until you start the Opti, I don't blame you. I'm positive I did the same thing.
So exciting!!!! Less than 2 weeks!

QOTD my wish would be for every person and animal to feel loved. Maybe if we had that there wouldn't be so much bullying?! Just a thought. Frigid today in Illinois. Here's a picture from this morning. I love this sweater--it's fuzzy and warm and makes me feel feminine too.
