SO, I've been peeking at the site since I got to work this morning and since DD2 and DZ seem to be missing, I'm going to start us out.  I'm starting to feel better, and the funeral yesterday was rough but we all made it through.

My photo today is of my lunch.  I packed double so that way if I feel like over eating, at least it will be chicken and sweet potatoes and not chips/rice crispy treats/or corn nuts from the vending machine.

almost 17 months since surgery

B: everything bagel with cream cheese and coffee with 1 cream and 1 splenda

L: rotisserie chicken and sweet potatoes

D: Unknown, my hubby was travelling last night and I was rushed this morning so I didn't pull anything out for dinner.

S: Carbmaster yogurt (didn't eat it yesterday) and a Carbmaster protein smoothie.

totals without dinner:

calories 856 Protein 47 Carbs 82 (damn bagel) fat 38

I acknowledge my horrible plan for the day.  but if I keep it under 1200 calories and 100g of carbs I will consider it a win and know that at least I didn't gain weight today.

Be strong family.

QOTD: If you could have just one ultimate wish, anything at all in the world, nothing it out of reach, what would it be?  I would wish to have the gift of ultimate healing.  I want to be able to fix everyone and everything.  Someone is hurting emotionally, I can fix that.  Someone is sick, I can heal them.  I want to be able to wrap my arms around the world and embrace everyone with healing, emotional and physical.  I know that it sounds ridiculous, but honestly that is my nature.  I want to comfort and care for every hurt and lost soul.

Sorry, I'm feeling particularly emotional this morning after seeing the devastation left by drug abuse yesterday.

Man those sweet potatoes look good- they are a problem food for me though. Meaning I can't stop eating them... Funny how some set you off while others don't.

Scale still at lowest, waiting impatiently for it to go down but so so grateful that my holiday eating didn't cause but a 1 pound gain which is now gone. Also, really didn't care for the way the sweets made me feel, like garbage for several hours. no dumping but I think it is modified dumping with foamies and general feeling like crap.

Yesterday DH put new carpet in our master closet and that meant I had to move ALLL my shoes, lotions, and purses and everything on the floor out of the closet- Tried on all the pants in the closet including jeans and paired it down to 13 pair of jeans (yes there were probably 13 that I didn't keep because the made my butt look saggy- it's a real problem now) or were too big). It was nice to see them out of the closet. I also cleaned out my undie drawer, jammie drawer and filled a bag for charity. SO proud of myself. NExt I need to get through the tops, skirts, and dresses and I will be done. Also- he will probably mention that I need to remove all my sweaters off his shelf that I 'took over'. Hey I need space for my sweaters, I'm always cold!

Was about 100 or so calories over my 780 goal yesterday but with 114 protein so that kind of makes up for it and the scale was same this morning.

Today I'm having:

eggs? decaf/ milk/miralax

curry chicken - still need to eat the rest up

dinner will be chilis kids meal since i have a coupon and DH wanted to go there

will try my dardest not to go over calories

QOTD: mine is a bit more superficial. I would like for everyone to be born and live the same size. I know that sounds odd but I have thought about it before. there would be one clothing size for women and one size for men and one size for boys and girls growing up. We would have to have a few variations for tall, short and regular. Seems that it would simplify things a bit and lessen the weight bias bullying. Yes, I know bullies will just find something else to bully about. I know my life would have changed for the better if weight was something that I didn't have to worry about.

your QOTD answer isnt that superficial to me. I think it makes perfect sense to wish that, especially on this board! and i totally agree.

Good for you for packing more food... sometimes we are trying to be so virtuous we sabotage ourselves.

Yesterday I took my grandson to his first play. Bar baby saves Christmas. OMG he was so cute and totally mesmerized. The excitement was do exhausting itcrequired a 2 ½ hour nap after..

Food has been OK not great. Little indiscretions here and there. Yesterday's was dark chocolate dipped pretzel rods. Second one  lots of laughs with Ama, and first  is my grandson's first art lesson from Ama

I LOVE your pics!  I'm so glad you are getting time to spend with your grandbabies.  One thing that I am very grateful for is that my mother in law and my mother both live very close to us.  My MIL has been my primary daycare since my son was 7 weeks old until this summer when she had a mild heart attack.  My mom has been helping out since I started this new job and my mom was a regular fixture in my oldest sons life when he was small as well.  I LOVE to watch my kids interact with the grandparents (g-ma and nonnie).  It's one of the most incredible relationships I've seen.  Where did my mom get all of this patience, she never had it when I was young!

I love your pictures Cynthia! What a fun grandma you are. My boys were lucky that my mother in law was an amazing fun grandma who loved to spend time with thembecause my mother was not. She died years ago but missed so much by not being involved with them. Make those memories while you have the chance!
