I bought a nylon paint strainer bag from Lowe's. It's food safe and cheaper than a nut milk bag. It's also reusable. I use them for ricotta.

Morning everyone!

Today we are getting a new ho****er heater, and I didn't shower before they got here... so I'm Stuck at home, trying to do nothing, but it's not working... I have this thing called energy! I've been up and down the stairs several times this morning getting all of the empty Christmas boxes down so I can pack up Christmas until next year.

So this morning I weight 161.0... that puts me at 99 pounds lost... It'****ting me how much I've lost, and I can't, for the life of me, figure out how I got heavy enough to have lost this much, and still have more to go... I'm very very happy, just perplexed when I look in the mirror. Of course, knowing what I know from all of those on this board that have already crossed this goal, I'll always be perplexed about my body image, right?! LOL

I also bought a new dress to wear on NYE... instead of the gold one I wore for the Holiday parties... it's a size 10. Whaaaaa??

And that brings me to the QOTD... I LOVE NYE. I like to get dressed up, go out, do something fun... there are years that hasn't happened in the past, but this year, we are going out with some close friends - Um... my spouse's ex wife and her new wife - Hahaha... we share custody of two of our dogs, and over the years, have become very close. I love that this happened too. My spouse's ex was with him, when he was a she (so wanna sing that song now), and identifies as a Lesbian. She met her wife only a few months after Riley and I got together. The tension was high between us for a few years, but we are all very close now. I'd even say, aside from me, my hubby's ex is probably his closest friend. And her new wife could be considered one of my besties too! So anyway, we are going to Here for dinner, then to the one and only Lesbian bar in town to dance and ring in the New Year! VERY EXCITED. 

THEN, on NYD, we have started a tradition of putting on a big old pot of black eyed peas, and I make this Hungarian dish called Haluski - both considered "Lucky" things to eat, then a few friends (maybe 8-10) will come over and we'll all be in our jammies, watch football, eat lucky foods and play a few games. Luckily I have Monday off!

B: I made 1.9oz ham, 1 cheese slice, 1 fried egg - but only ate half of it

L: See above, I just ate it at 11:20

D: Ribs and cottage cheese

S: We are going to the movies, I will sneak in pork rinds, but cannot be trusted not to taste the popcorn... My first movie trip since surgery

That is so awesome that you all have gotten close.  Your night out sounds like a blast! Sadly Austin doesn't have any lesbian bars at all.  We have a few queer bars and gay bars but nothing for us ladies.  Oh well.. I will be stuck home enjoying family time anyway.  If I get up there we can go out and you can show me the big city bright lights of your town!

Yes, you really have lost all that.  Yes, you really do look amazing.  Yes, this really is going to be forever this time. You are killin' it.

I'm dumbfounded that Austin doesn't have a girl bar... That would so be a great business venture!

You come on up! I'll get the gang together, and we'll Uber it all over, although, truth be told, it's not all that amazing, however, there are still some other great gay bars we can go to as well! And you'd even already know a few folks, I'm sure  (That's me dancing! Ha)

AUSTIN doesn't have one?  Wow - that is surprising!

I love all these great relationships!  

It's really good. Especially since we are all part of the same 'tribe', so no one was left out when they broke up. We are lucky to have them as our close friends
