What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Morning gang! Two kiddos home now and I feel in a much better mood though my Guy would argue that there is no mood improvement. I about bit his head off this morning when he woke me to ask me to fix his coffee since he was running late. I think I was just still asleep because I did the coffee and then barked, "Leave me alone! I didn't do anything to you!" when he re-woke me after his shower. LOL I have no idea what I was mad at but he tucked tail and left me to my madness. Via text I kissed and made up...all is well.
Instapot inspired adventures continue. Last night I made "Crack Chicken" which is not WLS friendly really but was ah-mazing! Everyone liked it which is rare in my house. Nom nom nom...what is not to like about chicken with bacon and cream cheese, right? I also baked two different types of granola to top my homemade yogurt with. I feel like Suzy Homemaker has possessed me. The granolas are ok but I will keep adjusting the recipes for next time. Both are no sugar added low carb so if I get the mix down right I will post the recipe.
QOTD: New Year's Eve is my son's birthday! We will have a house full of his teenage friends. Everyone is welcome to stay the night...I imagine there are parents all over town grateful to have a free babysitter service. We will play games, watch the ball drop, and generally hang out. I am really excited because all the kiddos will be there except for the oldest (he has to work).
LUNCHBOX Challenge! Way to go Deanna! Here is mine today...
I knew I would be posting which made me me remember my vitamins. Thank you!
Menu: B: 1 cup homemade yogurt w/ 1/3 cup mocha granola; L: 1 cup homemade yogurt w/ 1/3 cup banana nut granola; D: Pasta Fagioli soup in the Instapot I will let you know how it turns out. S: Grapes if I'm hungry.
Accountability: Down to 120.6 this morning. Hmmm... I really feel like I am eating plenty. Might need to start the MFP again to check. Smoking quit is still a struggle. This morning I looked longingly at my e-cig, grabbed my husband's pack he left in the kitchen, and off to work I went smoking the whole drive. Grrr.
Be healthy and happy today everyone!

In regards to the e-cig and the real thing... maybe you can just appoint one time during the day where you choose the e-cig instead of the real things? That's what I did... at first it was the drive home (you know, because I was trying to be stealth, it made the most sense for me)... after a long time I picked one more time of the day to CHOOSE to use the e-cig... honestly, it took some time, but after a while I really wanted the vape more than the real things.
Don't beat yourself up over this. Just make small choices, and let them grow.

I think that might work well. I can start with vaping when I am not home with the hubby. That way it is a time when I am away from his tasty tempting pack of smokes. That would really just mean my car wouldn't stink of smoke and that would be a nice benefit. Thank you for the idea!! Will keep you posted.
