Good morning, Menu Family! I've been MIA for a little while, and it's good to be back....on the Menu Thread, work....not so much!
QOTD: New Year's Resolutions=Pipe Dreams, for me anyway. I always said, "I will lose weight this year!" So, this year, my resolution is, "I will lose weight this year!" I know for a fact that this time I'm not lying to myself or setting myself up for failure, so here I go...
Today is my one month surgiversary. I haven't been feeling well for the past few days. I'm having a lot of allergy issues, and lady things started, so I'm retaining fluids and I feel like a hippo, even though the scale isn't moving up. I'm hanging pretty steady scale wise, so that's good...at least it's not a gain. I'm just tired and weak feeling, so I am making sure I get in all of my iron and fluids and protein and handling this the best I can. I sure hope it doesn't continue to be this way on a monthly basis.
Here's the plan for today:
B: Scrambled egg, homemade salsa
S: Cheese stick
L: Sausage links
S: Jerky
D: Some kind of soup
S: will be asleep by then, I hope
Have a blessed day!

Good Morning Menu Family!
QOTD: I don't usually make New Year's resolutions. I don't really have a good reason why I don't, I just don't do it.
B: bacon
L: homemade chili
D: homemade chili
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Mr. Cheese O's or Moon cheese
Exercise: Walking the dog, exercise bike, or exercise DVD.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
~ Karen
Thanks for starting us out! Good Morning and happy Wednesday.
QOTD: I can't think of one in particular that I did on New Year's.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 4 months
B: SF latte, Maple and brown sugar Oatfit, 2 turkey sausage links
L: Boiled eggs, carrots and string cheese
S: SF latte, Carbmaster yogurt and a pack of sweet and spicy deli chicken
D: Albacore tuna melt and steamed broccoli
E: 45 mins stepper this morning
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1015 Protein:112 Carbs:91 Fat:31
Have a great one!
Down 1.4 lbs this morning, and Instant Pot arrives today! It's going to be a banner day!!
QOTD: some years I make resolutions, usually involving weight loss or exercise - but I'm just going to keep up with what I'm doing this next year since it seems to be working.
19 months out:
B: homemade plain Greek yogurt with 1 T homemade cranberry (O-M-G!!)
S: coffee with half & half, may try to find NYMom's protein "orange julius" recipe and make that for a change
L: chia/carrot/coconut soup, some kind of protein (maybe yogurt and cranberry sauce again)
D: leftover bariatric-friendly lasagna
S: probably more yogurt if I can afford the calories (plus cranberry sauce??)
exercise: plan is to go to water aerobics tonight unless I'm still waiting on the Instant Pot. I don't want it disappearing from my front porch! (unfortunately, it happens sometimes around here). If I can't get to water aerobics, may just go over to the gym late tonight and do the weight machines or stationary bike
