i am making a prime rib today. Is 5 weeks out to soon to eat some?
Are you cleared to eat dense proteins? If so you could try a little piece, just know beef can be a bit hard for some folks to eat. It can sometimes sit like a brick in your new stomach.
I was not allowed solid food like that until 8 weeks. I had no problems after that.
You could possibly try an ounce of the most very tender part of the cap. It's the most tender and moist bit of meat you will find anywhere.

Sorry, my opinion is 5 weeks is WAY too soon for prime rib, which is the cut of meat with the most fat. That's why it tastes so good and is so moist. You are barely a month out of surgery, why would you want to push yourself that way?

But, it's the fat and moistness that make it potentially the easiest going down, by far. Ground meats are the toughest. Chicken can be really hard at first. Much harder than the tender part of a prime rib.
I'm not saying it would sit well with her, but if anything stands a chance, it might.

If you're cleared for dense protein, I would try a 1/2 ounce. That is, if you've tolerated what you've been trying so far. Meat like steak and prime rib were easier for me to digest than chicken or ground meat. I was very conservative with the amounts I introduced. But willing to try a lot of variety. But also, I would only try something new when I had a flexible schedule in case it didn't go well. I wouldn't want to try something iffy when I was entertaining or had a commitment I couldn't cancel. But like I said. I was pretty conservative.

I'm 13 weeks out and had 2oz of prime rib yesterday and was miserable for 8 hours afterwards. I've been able to handle just about all types of protein but either I didn't chew a piece as well as I should have (most likely) or it just didn't agree with me. I caution you,to be careful.
