Last of the Christmas party's was last night! I was running late due to work and had no food option but the pizza that was there so I had one slice. It's the first carbs I have had in several weeks. Was afraid of not only starting up the old carb cravings but what it might do to my digestion for the evening!! Turned out fine, with just the one slice and happy to say did not taste anywhere near as good as I made it out to be in my mind :)
QOTD: I am torn between wanting a small private lake front home and a log cabin in mountain/woods. Either of those would be perfect to me!

L: last of the Michigan salad with Christmas turkey left overs
D: Still reading my Instant Pot manual so either something from that for first time or baked Pork Loin with green beans

It's either called Michigan salad or Traverse City salad. It's basically just salad greens, with turkey or chicken, dried cherries (that's where it gets the Traverse City or Michigan name), nuts, cheese with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Great choice for dream home location.
FYI: next time when the only option is pizza: take 3 slices. Eat the toppings. get rid of the crust.

We had a nice Christmas, I really didn't cheat to much, might of had a few more nuts than I should have but that was it. My Birthday was yesterday and we were getting freezing rain, so tonight I will have chinese for my Birthday dinner.

QOTD - I would live in the Pacific Northwest! I'd have a great place in the city - Seattle and another in the mountains. I LOVE the rain, it's so beautiful and for all the wonderful calm comfort and peace it brings to my soul!!

D- 'pizza' - using a mini cast iron skillet - SF sauce, light mozzarella, turkey pepperoni -baked until bubbly and golden. 1st time trying this tonight, can't wait!

Hello everyone!
So, I know it's really late for this post, but I've been MIA for too long, and I miss ya'll! Christmas was wonderful, even if rushed like crazy, and I just feel like I ran at full speed for a week leading up to it. Kids are off at their dad's house until NYD, so hubs and I are child free. I miss them more this year... I'm guessing because, having a 17yo, it's starting to feel like the 'end ' of everything as she gets older. Thank goodness I still have the almost 15yo, so we have a few more years... but still.
I've not been HORRIBLE, food wise... but I've not been good... my weight is hovering between 161.9 - 162.6... but I've had tastes of LOTS of things... and too much of the Christmas trash that we made (chocolate coated chex mix like stuff)... I've thrown away things I shouldn't be eating after a few bites, and have had a few drinks at most gatherings... and we gather a lot! LOL Today though has been good, but I do admit to the handful of pretzel crisps, and plenty of cravings... Gotta stop it today.
I'll have to catch up with everyone, but being off this week, makes it harder to get online to post early enough (I love ya'll, but I'm not getting up early while I'm on vacation!)
I realized that I'm hovering on 100 pounds lost... and I find that still amazing that I was ever that overweight... until I look at my 'before' picture. Then it's a hard slap in the face!
