Hope you feel better. Leftovers are iffy for me too and usually I have to add gravy or sugar free BBQ to make them tolerable. I just can't do anything dry.

Good morning menu peeps.  One more day off before I go back to work tomorrow.  I've been missing in action for the past week. Christmas was a combination of wonderful and horrible.  I hosted Christmas Eve at my house and managed to cram about 35 family members into my 1500 square foot home.  Crazy, loud chaos.  But great fun.   The horrible part is that my Dad had a heart attack last week and we put him on hospice on Christmas Eve.  So awful and heart breaking.  He is 88, so has lived a long, happy life.  But we are never ready to lose a parent, no matter the age.  I am going to spend the day with him.  He's pretty out of it, but he knows I am there.

So, I have been self medicating a bit over the past few days. That stops now.  I haven't assembled a menu yet, but I have chicken thighs and prawns in the freezer, so I will likely cook those off.

have a great day everyone!

I am so sorry to hear about your father! You are right to try and think of how wonderful of a life he has had. But yes, no matter what age it is never easy to lose a parent. Thinking of you.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I lost both of my parents at young ages due to complications from diabetes but still miss them to this day. Make every minute count with your dad now while you still have him,my dear. And take care of yourself too. He would want that. Praying for you all.

So sorry for you and your family. This time of year seems to make it sadder.
