Happy Tuesday menu gang! Last night I had my first Instapot adventure. I ran my new baby through the test steam cycle and then went to town making yogurt. This morning it looks like yogurt but I had to chill it in the fridge before really tasting it. When I get home I hope to have amazing fresh yogurt delightfully awaiting me. Wish me luck! Also...any of you who have tips of 'mix in' type things that are RNY friendly I would love suggestions.
QOTD: New York City. If money was no object I would be able to travel anywhere I wanted if I got tired of the bustle but I've always wanted to live in NYC so that would be my choice.
Menu: Greek yogurt, Greek yogurt, cheese stick, salami...the usual. Tonight dinner will be some of my fresh yogurt experiment and the last of the left over brisket from Christmas.
Accountability: 122.0 this morning. Holding there for now. I am happy with that. Quitting smoking is going crappy. Looks like I am going to have to use the Chantix again. Heart doctor visit Friday and I will ask him for a script. Still trying to use my e-cig thingy but not being very consistent with it. It really sucks having my husband's pack of devil sticks right there laying around calling my name. He is planning on coming with me to the doctor Friday since we know it is not going to be a good news visit. Perhaps once we hear what the doctor has to say for a plan for my heart my Guy will decide to quit with me. Wish me luck on all fronts!
Hope you all have a great day full of feeling healthy, in control of your food, and laughter.
~Elizabeth

So...sugar free puddings.... do I make the pudding first or just add the powder once the yogurt is made? How do you know how much syrup to add?

I just pour in the powder - maybe a quarter/1/5 of the box per 4 servings of yogurt, you are just using the powder as flavoring, you don't add milk. I do a couple pumps of torani- not more than that- you can also add spends or whatever, but I would first do powder then maybe one pump of syrup then taste it to see if it needs more
My fav is the vanilla SF pudding mix and cheesecake is also awesome.
Will be trying this tonight! Thank you!!

I've done very well over the holidays so far but last night I had some left over prime rib and was miserable for a full 8 hours. Threw up twice but I was still stuck. I was finally able to get to sleep around 4 am. Oof! Never again. So, today is just going to,be protein shakes and yogurt for me to calm things down as I feel sore still.
QOTD: somewhere on the ocean and near mountains
