HALF WAY! DOWN 50+ POUNDS!
Good job! I would not go back on my decision at all! I've had a few issues and also had the struggle of food not tasting good and working on getting protein in (had to go strictly to food, because I can't stand the texture of powders)! And yes, I agree, I also feel like I have a future! Just think of all the things we can do now that we couldn't before! Congrats!!!

I was a lot like you. 282 at time of surgery. I lost the weight really fast. Your pants start falling down and you're always having to pull them up...New notch on the belt! You are doing great.
I tell people that the surgery is an upward spiral...Rather than a downward one. You lose some weight which causes you to move better and walk farther...Also get to project you couldn't get to before the weightloss. The extra movement (exercise and work projects) causes you to lose more weight...Which causes you to move better and farther...Which cause you to lose more weight!! A total upward cycle.
You become like a (bad analogy) a kid in a candy store with a wad of $20. bills. You don't know what you want to take on next. Different things like riding a bicycle, cleaning windows or gutters, cleaning out the car, ice skating, jogging, Doing project on the roof (during the warmer months), Things like that all open up to you with much of the sky being the limit. So you find what exercises and jobs are comfortable (yet challenging) and try them. I do know from experience that for some reason cleaning out your car or truck really causes the weight to drop...You are in strange positions and working muscles you normally don't use. Another sure weight loss activity is in the springtime work on cleaning out the garage. Get rid of the old junk and clean the areas that need to be cleaned (including windows). Just saying that those hard physical work days would be the days I would get on the scale the next morning and be down 3-5 pounds the next day!! Everyone will very. My pace is not yours...Yours not mine. Keep plugging away...Watch the simple carbs (The Devil) and you should hit goal real fast. Good luck on your journey. Brian
Congratulations on the weight loss and doing the 2 miles a day, and don't forget the cholesterol being so low... you are doing great!
