Morning all. For me avoiding the scale was a mistake! I understand trying not to obsess over the scale, but further out from surgery when you get to goal it's important to be aware of where you're at number wise. Without stepping on the scale and just going by how you feel or how your cloths feel it is possible to gain more weight than you realize! And the further out from surgery you are the harder it seems to be to re-lose. So for me, I'll stick with being obsessed with the scale for now on.
Meals for the day are undetermined as of right now. Plan on being very busy on my last day off for the next 7 days.
Morning!
Monday was probably my worst day food wise- I was at about 160g for carbs. I've since tied by head back on my shoulders, and have been doing well. QOTD: I avoided the scale pre-op. For a while it was because my weight surpassed the limit of my home scale-- and I was too ashamed to go buy a larger capacity one. I weighed myself weekly up until about 7 month post-op, then I started to weigh daily. Weighing daily is my preference and what I'll do from now on. It easier to understand trends and not panic so much. Just once a day- first thing in the AM. I take the average weight of the 7-day period and record weekly a weight.
19 months post op; 195.4 today
M1: protein shake
M2: Greek yogurt, berries, granola,
M3, 7 oz spaghetti sauce w/ meat, ricotta & mozzarella
M4: ?? No idea-- I seriously need to go grocery shopping

Good morning guys!
Thanks for putting the post together Daizy!
Today is the first day of the kiddo's christmas break and we have OT and errands this morning. I'm super excited because my apple watch should arrive today and I can't wait to make use of the fitness app . I had my psych eval yesterday and it went very well - I really like Dr. Friedman, she's very easy to talk to. She told me a few things I didn't know, like I may have to have my surgery in two-stages (part one, band removal, part 2, RNY). I'm actually OK with this....I want things done properly, in a way that will benefit me the most. If that means I have to wait to heal between the two then so be it. I think the chances of it being in two stages for me are low because I don't have any erosion/scarring...but we'll see! She was very happy with the steps I've taken to prepare myself, and the new habits I've been working on forming.
Another thing I'm happy about is that one of my best friends and I decided to be WLS buddies - she's post RNY and has been struggling a bit...so we are going to be accountability partners. She's one of the few people I can be completely open and honest with because we've been friends for 18+ years now.

Banded: 9/14/06
Band Removal: 3/15/17
Revision to RNY: 6/21/17!!!
I'd be unstoppable if not for law enforcement & physics
Not gonna lie, I'll be disappointed if I have to wait but the most important thing is doing what's best for my body so that this revision is a success....I've got a great support system in place between my family, my therapists, and you all here on OH, I think it'll be good!

Question of the day is a good question. I now get on the scale daily. I will have my kids hide it from me now and then. But for the most part it is always in my bathroom.
After surgery I would get on the scale and wonder why it wasn't moving and become obsessed with it. For me I know I have to have it out so it keeps me from going back to old habits.
I am one of the big liar. So I have to keep the scale out. I do look at myself in the mirror to a lot. I also put jeans on that I know have no stretch to them to bring me back to reality.
When it doesn't move I use NSVs.
