Good morning Daizy!  Thanks for starting us off this morning in DD2's absence.  Now, I'm going to have to try to come up with a fun nickname for you as well.  I haven't had much coffee yet, but give me time, I'll figure something out. :)

So, I kinda recovered from the binge yesterday.  I was not perfect, but compared to Tuesday, I was soo much better.  today I have a great menu and even though I had a bunch of goodies on my desk when I got in this morning, I'm feeling strong and able to resist.

DZQOTD:  So, your new nickname is DZ, lol.  So, I have found recently that I have been avoiding the scale.  I had hit a low weight of 154 on Thanksgiving and since then my weight has bounced back up to between 158 and 162 depending on the day.  This morning it was 160.  I have not been weighing every day, and I need to make myself do it.  I think that I've decided that for right now my ultimate weight limit is 160 and I need to go into emergency mode the moment that my weight goes over that.  So, right now I'm back on track.

B: 2 eggs scrambled with onions, green pepper, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.  Coffee with SF coffeemate

L: Romaine salad with Fat Free Feta, onions, green pepper, cucumber and Bolthouse Farms garlic dressing and a small can of solid white albacore.

D: Pork Loin chop with steamed broccoli

S: Carbmaster Protein Smoothie and  a Light and Fit Greek yogurt.

totals:

Calories 866 Protein 112 Carbs 36 Fat 32.

This menu kicks ass.

Hey everyone- work is crazy busy- not enough time and I think only me and boss are in- or at least it seems this way. Today will be a heavy concentration day. The scale decided to move finally- it took me 18 days to lose .4 pounds due to holiday eating. WELP! sheesh, well doing the best I can with it. The nutritionist mentioned that I need to be realistic with my goals over christmas and I suppose losing to 124 pounds (4 more) by end of the month is probably unrealistic since I will be actually eating christmas eve and christmas day dinner plus a meal out on Monday. She said maybe just try not to gain and I suppose she is right but I don't want to think of myself as 'giving in'. Does that make sense?

QOTD: I weigh everyday regardless. I keep it logged into MFP, I don't mark the weight everyday but I do mark when there is a loss.

Food for today:

leftover tilapia I didn't eat yesterday, protein pancakes, egg whites, trying to stay as lo carb as possible.

Before surgery I avoided the scale except for doctor visits when it was always followed by a lecture. While I was in the losing phase I weighed weekly as my doctor suggested because the up and down of numbers was frustrating. I've been in maintenance now for 31/2 years and I weigh daily now unless we're traveling. Our last two week trip without a scale made me a bit nervous but because I was very active I was actually down a tiny bit. My weight is pretty constant but I don't really stray off the plan at all because I don't tolerate sweets even a tiny bit. The scale just let's me see every day exactly where I'm at and helps me catch any upward swing before it becomes a problem. And now I actually like weighing at the doctors Office! Hubby took me shopping for jeans last night and I came home with nothing. I'm looking for a pair of mid or high rise jeans in a tiny size that fits my butt and apparently there are none. A pair of X S skinny jeans at Maurice'S was even saggy. Found one pair of 24×34 Levi jeans at Macy's that looked good but they were distressed and I am 57 not 17 so that is really not the look for me. Most of them were no smaller than a size 4. Maurices had one pair of size 0 and they were baggy in the hips. The ones that fit best were girl sizes but they are about 5 inches too short. Hubby ordered some Levis on line from Macy's and one pair from American Eagle because the manager in Maurice'S said they tend to run smaller. If I don't like the fit I'll just return them to the store. I've been wearing the same pants for 31/2 years and didn't know it would be such a big deal to find more. Busy day today with food pantry and youngest coming home this evening from Atlanta for the holiday. Some chores to do around the house too but Lily and I will get our 3.2 miles in right after lunch before I get busy. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 3 small seafood stuffed mushrooms 1/2 c crab salad S 31/2 oz shrimp 1/2 c crab salad S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar.  Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices that get you one step closer to your goal. Oh and my weight today is 117.4.

I hope you can find some jeans. Online is a good idea.

The size zero struggle is real.  I am having all the same issues finding jeans.  Zeros are made for barely legal strippers is my theory. I did find a pair of jeans at Target that were actually a size two but they were midrise and "stretch" so the stretch bit made them tight enough in the hips.  I still wear a belt with them but they look really nice and were only 25 bucks. Let me know how your online search turns out.

I have those same jeans from Target.  They're too big and the stretch doesn't help.  I like them, but they don't come in a zero, so the search continues.  What's driving me crazy is the lack of consistency in sizing.  I bought a pair of size 25 (a 0) from the Gap last night.  Didn't try them on until I got home.  Can barely get them over my hips . . . they go back today.  Tried on a size 25 at Lucky Jeans, up and zipped, no problem.  How is a girl supposed to internet shop if she doesn't know what will fit???  First world problems.

The size differentials are so annoying.  An Ann Taylor size 0 is actually a little bit big for me right now.  A Juicy Couture or Gap size 26/2 jeans just barely fit (couldn't wear anything smaller).

What the heck is a size zero anyway????
