What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Im on the train pretty early. Waited a bit but I don't mind doing the week day one until Daisy is back.
QOTD- Scale avoidance - we have a Canadian non surgical bariatric doctor Dr. Yoni Freedhoff who also has a blog - www.weightymatters.ca - and one of the things he talks about is scale avoidance. I know I do this. I will be very diligent about weighing myself and then I will just stop and be surprised (but not really) when I do step back on and my weight has crept back up. So I'm just curious if you guys did this before and how often you weigh yourselves now. I'm sure after surgery I will be stepping on the scale all the time but when all the weight is off, I'm not sure. I think I will keep weighing daily or weekly at the very least. What works for you?
It's a bad week food wise for me. I'm not going crazy but I am eating things that I don't normally eat. 3 weeks today until surgery and 1 wee****il optifast.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

Losing the regain! I got this!
Morning!
today is my last push to get organized and pull everything together for the Weekend!
qotd: definitely an avoider. Sometimes by choice, sometimes because of lifestyle. I spent a big chunk of my 20s moving around and traveling so I had no idea what my weight was.my thirties were all about denial. I'm a daily weigher now, and will be for life.
Menu:
B:protein shake, decaf coffee with baileys creamer....
L: leftover beef stew.
D: tbd. We are doing an escape room tonight, so I'm not sure what the plan is..
have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everyone. Wow, 3 weeks until surgery! So soon! I am excited for you. I am sure the next few weeks will be hard, but keep your eyes on the prize :)
QOTD: No, I don't avoid it. I actually feel a little panicked if I am away from a scale for more than 24 hours. I need to know! Lately I have been spending lots of time back at the old condo doing renovations, and there is no scale there. I hate it! I'm staying there tonight, and I swear I contemplated bringing it with me. Ha. I have heard people say it's unhealthy to weigh in every day, but I think that's BS. I'd much rather know how to course-correct quickly, than have it get out of control.
IT'S MY LAST DAY OF WORK BEFORE VACATION! [not that I am excited or anything] But for reals--I really need this time to reset. I am barely moved into the new house and not completely moved out of the old house. I hate living in limbo and I just want the time to focus on getting organized. Oh, and also having fun! I have some pretty amazing plans over the break :)
B: 57847843 cups of coffee (not all are decaf, because I'd rather have acid reflux than be this tired) & 1 HB egg
S: Chive Cottage Cheese
L: 2 Deli Chicken and Swiss Cheese Roll Ups
S: Chobani Flips Coffee Break Bliss
D: no clue--back a the old house with no food, again...this must stop...

Congratulations! That's amazing. I get on the scale every morning too and am mad if someehow I forget and get dressed first. Of course I have to strip down again and weigh. I think I avoided the scale when my weight was out of control, so I want to stay on top of it now.
