Great pic DD2! That's a neat tradition your MIL had with the tablecloth- it must be awesome to pull it out a reminisce over folks and how they made there way to sign the cloth.

I'm not feeling great today- I picked up a cold and feel like its building into more than that. My chest feels heavy today- but I have no cough. I didn't even have the energy to put on make-up (Cue awkward double takes from co-workers who have never seen me without...). Eating leaves me feeling a little queasy too. I may cut out of work early to see the doctor.

QOTD: Traditions- can't say that we have many. Or maybe they are so ingrained in my psyche as the 'norm' I don't even view them as "traditions." Its just what we do. My family is West Indian so Christmas breakfast would typically be ackee, salt fish, and duck bread. (A bread made specific for the holiday- shaped into looking like 2 ducks swimming on a lake). I don't do this because my family won't eat it- honestly I wasn't a big fan of it growing up either. They still made pancakes for me:-) Tradition=food, lord no wonder I was SMO.

bought an Instant Pot on amazon yesterday!!  Can't wait 'til it arrives!!!  YAY - my new toy!!

QOTD:  we don't really have any traditions anymore, either - like others have said, once the older generation passed on, any traditions we had pretty much died with them  :-(     Although like last year, we'll be spending Christmas Eve at my sister's (we'll just have a bunch of appetizers there for our dinner - and we'll pull them out again on Christmas Day to munch on until dinner time (well, *some* of us will munch on them - not me).  We always have a big dinner on Christmas Day - will again this year, too.

18 months out

B:  plain Greek yogurt, NSA blueberry/blackberry sauce

S:  coffee with half & half, SF protein pumpkin chai tea latte

L:   cottage cheese??

D:  1 C turkey chili

Good Morning! I am going to miss seeing you on the board for your vacation but I know you'll be having a great time. Please be careful with your shoulder and take care of yourself.

QOTD: It seems that we kind of change things up a bit from year to year.  We usually take a drive to the mountains to play a few mins in the snow or we have driven to the beach on year. Just the three of us spending time together.  When Em was younger my mother-in-law would come over for Christmas morning but now that Em's older we usually go over to my MIL house for snacks and a gift exchange on Christmas Eve after church.  We spend NYE with my sister and family so we do the kids gifts then.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 4 months

B: SF latte, 2 boiled eggs

L: Turkey lunch meat, carrots with red pepper hummus and a babybel cheese wheel

S: SF latte, yogurt and Mr Cheese O's (trying a sweet chili package!)

D: Grilled chicken and some sort of veggie

E: 60 mins elliptical this morning and I might take a walk at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1091 Protein:112 Carbs:83 Fat:31

Have a great one!

Good morning Daisy and Menu folks! I accepted the position yesterday! Yay! was a big decision form me as I have worked at the same place for 27 years. I feel great, yet I feel odd today. I will not start the new job until 02/21. I am contemplating how much notice to give? I feel that I am doing this for me and my family, similar to WLS and have to admit feeling a little odd walking through the doors this morning.

QOTD - We always go to Midnight mass, my cousin is a catholic priest and is a wonderful singer. He has a very active Church and Choir. They hire musicians from the crane school for midnight mass, is truly magical. Christmas day we cook a wonderful meal of Prime rib and fixings. Love it. Time is spent with my Parents and MIL and SIl and families.

B - protein bar

S - greek yogurt

L - Cheeseburger, no bun

S - peanuts

D - unsure as I have a ton of running around to do.

Exercise - gym night

Stay Healthy and happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all. I am on Vacation tomorrow and Friday . Mike

Glad to hear the news! Way to go.  Do you think if you give notice too far in advance that your current employer may release you sooner than you would like?
