RNY and Vision
NO really. White Dove is right. If you have high BS, the lense of the eye gets these glycoslated sugars on them. These sugars pulls water into the lense of the eye and distorts it. As you blood sugar goes down, the sugars and water leave the lense of your eye.
MY STBXH, who was a diabetic, experienced this as he went from uncontrolled blood sugar to A1C's in the normal range. His perscription changed about 5 times that year.

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
After surgery my glasses stopped working and I stopped being able to wear my glasses. I went to the eye doctor and he told me my vision had corrected itself completely and I didn't need glasses anymore. I'm now 16 months post op and I'm just starting to have vision issues again. I am due to go to the eye doctor, but for right now I'm wearing glasses that are 10 years old. My newer glasses from just before surgery are still way too strong for me.
Talk to your optometrist. While it's likely that this is related to diabetes, lots of things can affect vision and some of them are serious. Get this checked out.
