What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
So sorry to hear about your echo results,E. And a pacemaker at your age is not unheard of. A pastor friend of mine has had one since she was 18 for a congenital problem. She's had it replaced several times and had some issues but God obviously has a plan for her cut she's still here and working hard. Praying for you my dear!
Happy Monday mornin menu peeps! It was a great weekend. A bunch of us went to play the room escape game that's popping up everywhere around town. You get locked in a room with clues and you have to escape using the clues. One clue leads to another clue type thing. It was really hard but we did it! It was Christmas themed so we saved Christmas! LOL. We were the only team to succeed that day.
Love the picture Daisy! It looks cold but the pups look like they don't mind! I'm trying to walk around here and act like the cold isn't bothering me lol. It was 33 degrees this morning. It's a dry cold so it isn't so bad. I wrapped all the presents yesterday. I was sitting on the floor for about 4 hours. My back is feeling it today!
QOTD: My first trip to the emergency room was when I was 5. I had a loose tooth so I wanted to eat an apple because I had heard that if you bite into an apple it will pull the tooth. I asked my mom for a knife to cut it and of course she objected. I threw a fit so she finally handed me a butter knife and said you better not cut yourself!. I cut down into the apple but the knife got stuck (being a butter knife) so I yanked it out cutting across my middle finger. It started praying blood everywhere! I tried to hide it so my mom wouldn't know that I cut myself but the blood had squirted across the room and on the newspaper she was reading. She grabbed a towel and took me outside to show my dad and brother. My brother (who was 10) said OMG you are going to die so yeah, I screamed I don't want to die all through the emergency room. I think that actually got is in quicker LOL. They never could get the bleeding to stop but I got a whopping 3 stitches!
Here's the pictures of us girls after we escaped. If you fail you have to hold up signs that say you are a failure etc. I'm in the back, 3rd from the left in both pics.

Good morning! Weekend was cold. It didn't get over 17 degrees here. Our water well didn't freeze up, so we're all good. It's supposed to be warmer today (in the 30's) and tomorrow (60's). Whew...that's better! Kids and hubby did a lot of baking and ruining my kitchen this weekend. They finally drove me crazy with not doing it right! I jumped in and we all had a good time and my cookies (of course) turned out better than his. He was hacked off, and I was proud of myself! LOLOLOL
QOTD: Yes....broken toe and foot (I was drunk), broken ankle (I was drunk and bowling), abcess with unbearable pain (would have been better if I had been drunk), vomiting blood after being released the day after I had RNY. Plenty with my kids and husband, and I used to work in the ER, so I've been there a lot of times, even when I wasn't drunk but wishing I was. Full moons were the worst!
I met a goal of weighing less than 225 this weekend, and my dear MIL bought me some jeans from Goodwill. They don't fit, but I did get them buttoned and zipped. Alas, muffin top is keeping me from wearing them for another few weeks. They're 16s and 18s, so that makes me feel better, because just a little over a month ago I was in 26/28's! So there is my scale victory and NSV for today. I'm down a little over 60 lbs from my high weight, and have lost 20 since RNY three weeks ago. It's an amazing feeling.

yay on the jeans! you will be zipping those up with no trouble in no time and in fact it will seem like you get to wear them for a week or two and then you will be in 12s and 14s. The magic of the surgery in the early days, the weight falls off and you go through sizes so fast!!
Great menu!
