What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers?
on 12/18/16 5:13 am
Oh, sorry for the late post. We are so exhausted...but we did get a lot more yesterday in the home renovations front :) If we do what we plan to tonight, we might even be able to take pics and get it on the market before Christmas.
Pin other news, I have been back on track 100% since Wednesday. It feels good to have a plan and know that I can stick to it. At the start of the week I saw the scale jump up to 119.9 (sooo close to 120--ahhh!) which scared the bejeezus out of me. I stuck with an all meat and dairy menu for the rest of the week, and this morning I am back down to 115.2. Thank god! I'm sticking to that until Christmas Eve.
QOTD: do you have Christmas Eve traditions? When I was a kid we were allowed to open presents that came in the mail from relatives, but that was about it. It's also my mom's birthday, and for the last 10+ years we have had a fun tradition of finding a fancy restaurant in Boston that does High Tea. It's extra special because they always have the restaurant decked out for Christmas and it's so pretty :)
B: fit frappe protein coffee
S: cheese stick and meat stick
L: Greek Yogurt
S: deli chicken and Swiss cheese roll ups
D cheeseburger no bun
Have a great day!

Good morning! It's only 8:30 here so I don't think your post is late at all! That's good that you're almost done with the renovations. Good luck with the rest of it today and great job on the weight.
We have a special plate we use to set out the cookies and carrots for santa and his reindeer. Also with gift giving, we all take turns and have to try to guess the contents. My family was always a free for all and we had lots of fun but the presents were done in the blink of an eye. It's so much fun watching each person open their gift. My husband though- he shakes and sniff and listens and takes FOREVER but receiving the gift is a big part of it for him so I try to be patient. Anyway opening presents takes a long time at our house.
Eggs for breakfast
Ham for lunch
leftover ham for dinner
1 wee****il Christmas!
Have a great day everyone

Yes except mine are 12, 15 and 17 lol. They would be seriously disappointed if I didn't put out the milk and cookies and if dad didn't eat said cookies and drink then milk. To top it all off, when they were little I used to write a letter to them from santa thanking them for being such great kids and saying he hoped they enjoyed their presents. With 3 non-believers I didn't do that last year. And they were DISAPPOINTED! lol. So I will be writing one this year.... sarcasm maybe used.

That's so cute! This is the first year where my son is really excited for Santa....so we will be putting out milk, cookies, and carrots for the reindeer!

And a little note from Santa! I would print it off so they wouldn't recognize the writing. And make sure you use different tags and wrapping paper from Santa! And use block letters in the tags. Lol. No wonder my oldest believes for so long haha.

We definitely have different wrapping paper from Santa - in my husband's family you never did wrapping paper, santa's stuff always came unwrapped and set up in front of the fireplace. In mine, we used paper.....until one year I asked my mom why Santa used the same paper and had suspiciously familiar handwriting on the tags
This year we did paper because at 5 he is ALL about the joy of unwrapping, and also because his Santa gifts arrived in boxes that had tape featuring the toy company logo on them (even though I ordered them from amazon) so we had to get creative because he opened the door and saw the boxes and immediately wanted to open them because of the logo. He's a smarty-pants and we've already decided that next year Santa gifts are going to be delivered to Grandma's instead, oy!
