Good morning! Its cold in the Pacific Northwest, but not east coast cold. Today we will be busy. My daughter is getting married on Tuesday. Everything is coming together beautifully. Its is just going to be a small wedding at our church ( approx 90 guests) with a dessert reception.  I am hoping the weather cooperates and I can get to Portland today and get the flowers and desserts.

I am still in the pureed food stage. Everything has gone well. It is such a weird sensation to not be hungry nor satisfied if that even makes sense.

My worst holiday memories of being MO is when my father in law would visit from Minnesota. He always had a comment about my weight. I remember one day I was standing in front of our fireplace and he commented that he noticed that I had gained quiet a little bit of weight and that I might want to take care of that! He was horrible. The thing is, he and his wife were both MO. He passed away last christmas eve at 70 of a stroke. He had diabetes, multiple heart attacks, stents. He was very unhealthy.

Here is a picture of our tree. Its very much a Charlie Brown tree. We drove up into the woods in the snow and the kids picked it out.
Our dog likes to lay under it.

I do get the not hungry yet not satisfied.... welcome to the other side of RNY post surgery.

Blows my mind how some people have no filter, I am sorry your FIL passed a year ago and its kind of too bad that he doesn't get to see that "you did something about it!!" Honestly its like people didn't think we knew we were fat (we being all of us here on OH).

LOVE your tree, its so unique and different and I love that.  BUT the best part of all has to be your DOGGIE  under the tree, OMG that's a Hallmark Card kind of photo there! That should be the pic for your Christmas cards right there!

Great numbers, this early out can be so hard to eat, drink, take vitamins, not get to tired. Be kind to yourself.  Get lots of rest.  Drink lots of fluids.  Stick around and join us on the menu thread, make friends and join our crazy WLS family!

Let us know if you have any questions, good luck!

Good morning Gang. I'm feeling a little out of sorts this morning.  Work is starting to pick up and I'm becoming busier in the office, which is good.  So far, everything is going well.  I have to leave early because we are going to Frankenmuth tonight.  If you've never heard of Frankenmuth, let me tell you all about it.  It's this quaint, touristy little town in mid Michigan.  It's basically a Bavarian Village with a couple of German restaurants, little fudge shops and that kind of thing.  There is also an outlet mall about 20 minutes away.  So, tonight we are going to Frankenmuth and having a chicken dinner at The Bavarian Inn, and then we'll walk around and shop and see the sights.  We're staying at the local Holiday Inn (free with my hubby's points) and then hitting up the outlet mall tomorrow to finish up the Christmas shopping.  We have to be home tomorrow by 6 for a Christmas party at my friends house.  Sunday will be housework and sewing day, and hubby goes back to work on Monday.  I expect that he'll have to travel some next week, so I'm trying to get as much done as I can.

DD2QOTD: I was post op last Christmas, and I did mostly okay, though I admit there was the Coconut Cream Pie incident of 2015 which gave me my first real feeling of dumping syndrome.  It was horrible.  The year before I was pre-op and I usually baked and ate and ate and ate through the holidays.  It was like a feeding frenzy.  This year I've struggled, but I've been able to reign it in the last few days and I plan on being good until Christmas eve and Christmas day, when I'll indulge a little.  But I don't think I'll have any desserts this year, it's kinda a waste for me and I always regret it.  So, I vow in front of all of you guys that I will not eat any dessert on Christmas Eve or Christmas day, and I will also not eat any bread.  I will allow myself potatoes and stuffing and that type of thing, I remember how I felt on Thanksgiving when I ate bread and desserts and I don't want to do that to myself again.

I just transferred all of my pictures off of my phone, and I don't have access to them right now.  I don't have a pic of my free handy, so no pic today.  Also, I was so busy at work yesterday I didn't get a chance to get a pic in my ugly Christmas sweater.

16+ months since surgery

B: egg cup of the week and coffee with sugar free coffeemate

L: 5oz of chicken with salsa and a mozzarella cheese stick shredded on top (I'm all out of shredded cheese at home right now)

D: Going to the Bavarian Inn for DINNER.  I plan on getting the cranberry chicken and everything is served family style.  No dessert, bread or noodles for me tonight, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of crap. I didn't log this, but I will when I get there and decide what I'm having. I definitely won't eat the ice cream, because I've never had good experience with ice cream since surgery.

S: Carbmaster Protein Smoothie (I really like these),  and 2x original babybels

Totals without dinner
