Thanks! The storm has started, and I think we're staying house bound, other than a trip to take puppy out, and to periodically dig our lane way out! Fun times!

Me too! My mother in law used to have her own kiln and teach classes when it was the fashion. When the we're getting rid of everything, I was like "save the trees!!" I don't know what it is, but they are just so cozy/comforting or something.

When we bought our house it came with a lot of the previous owners stuff still in it including a large ceramic Christmas tree. It has little birds instead of bulbs for lights (I would prefer the bulbs), a pretty gold star for the topper and accents of snow.

You crack me up! I love all your photos even if you were running around like a mad woman at 7am this morning snapping pics! I love everything you have! I love you have a real tree and your little village is wonderful. Both my grandmothers had that ceramic tree, I think my one Aunt has one of them now, it has to be as old as me if not older!
That is so awesome you do all that stuff on Christmas day, wow! I love tobogganing, haven't done it a a very long time but it was my fav as a kid!
Stay warm my friend, I know you guys there is Ottawa are colder than us and get more snow!
Yeah, Christmas at my parents usually has way over 50 people, and while there is lots of room really, we all have to scatter a bit, so that leads to outdoor activities haha. but that reminds me, I should try on my snow pants... they stopped fitting a couple of years ago...

Happy Friday everyone! We made it! :)
I'm taking today off to help (I hope I am helpful, anyway...) Grim with the last few days of the old condo renovations. If we stop where we say we are going to, we just have 2 more rooms to paint as well as painting kitchen cabinets and finishing up with some lighting, electrical and plumbing...Oh and brand new kitchen floors. Oh boy! He swears we will be done by tomorrow night, but I am still mildly skeptical. But meanwhile, done or not, at least we get to stay snug and warm in the house, because outside has temps well below zero, and tomorrow is going to be a snowy, icy, messy day.
Thanks for all of your support and kind words yesterday. I had a great day and the scale showed a happy weight again this morning for the first time in over a week. I am really going to keep at the CAMAW and rock this until Christmas Eve. I really appreciate you all!
Again, we have NO food in the other house where we'll be for the next few days, so I am going to stop at the grocery store this morning and get what we need for a CAMAW filled few days (oh and coffee...I'm getting a lot of coffee!). I will report back with a menu after I have been shopping :)
QOTD: I can't think of much that really held me back except for the fear that someone was going to buy me clothes that didn't fit for Christmas. One time my skinny gorgeous friend bought me the cutest shirt but it was about 6 sizes to small. It was SO embarrassing when she offered to return it and asked me what the right size would be. Ugh, I do not miss that at all.
Here is the outside of the house (except the upstairs wreaths aren't lit, yet):
And our first little tree together:
