What's on your Menu Today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Happy Friday Afternoon all!
I'm starting to realize that most days I end up not getting to my computer until afternoon/evening - which makes it hard to post this in the morning, perhaps I need to get up a bit earlier. I suppose I could post from my phone but I like to be wordy and doing it via mobile would be a pain. It was COLD this morning....our house was down to 61. It's not uncommon for me to layer up while I'm indoors and I haven't even had surgery yet....I've been told I'm going to get colder more easily post-surgery. I'm not a fan of heat pumps in the winter, but it's the most common heating system down here it seems so we deal with it. I ran errands this morning, haircut (yay no more almost-but-not-really-a-mullet!) and grocery store, and dropped off the last two shipments to my shipper. I am officially closed for business until after the new year and I'm going to enjoy it....though knowing me I will probably sit down and start sculpting new things because I genuinely enjoy the creative process.
Speaking of cookies, my MIL handed me a container of cookies this morning that she made for my hubby. I purposely left them in my car. If they aren't in the house and under my nose, I won't see them and want to eat any. He can get them out of the car when he gets home and it's plenty cold outside so they will stay nice and chilled.
Tonight our house is going to be crazyville - my brother in law's kids are coming over and it will be chaos....fun chaos though. They are ages 5y-13y and my son loves having them visit. We will feed them pizza and sit back while our house shakes on it's foundations from the wild rumpus.
QOTD: I'm pre-band-revision, so I'll say what I'm looking forward to for next Christmas. I'm looking forward to being able to walk around shopping without being absolutely worn out to the bones afterwards with aching joints that make it impossible to sleep. I'm looking forward to not needing a coat in 4xl so that it's loose enough to feel comfortable. I'm looking forward to being able to wear my favorite fleece hoodie again. I'm looking forward to being able to buy cute boots. I'm looking forward to being able to go on walks in the chilly air to enjoy the Christmas lights. I'm sure there's more...I think about this sort of stuff all the time now, it motivates me!

Here's our Christmas decorations! This was the first year we actually did outdoor decorations, we got one of those laser light thingies, bonus because the cats think it's the best thing ever when the lasers shine through the windows!
We are a geeky family, so of course we have Santa Vader guarding our door
We got this card years ago but it's become a staple decoration
And last but not least....Our tree topper also includes Gandalf.
Santa Shall Not Pass!
Have a great evening!

Hi everyone,
QOTD:Well last year at Christmas time I was 2 months past being rejected for WLS by my insurance company but very hopeful that I would be approved by my new insurance carrier. I had lost some weight at this point so I really tried to behave myself. I was SMO then and going to my brothers house was very difficult due to having to go up a flight of stairs with a fractured knee and major arthritis in the other knee. All this with the joy of having to carry up a lot of gifts. I was frikin miserable! Once I was there it was nice spending time with my family. This year I am still SMO with 2 very bad knees but having lost quite a bit more weight it should be easier.

I love your hair longer. You look beautiful either way, but the longer hair makes you look so much younger.
