What's on your Menu Today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Mornin menu peeps! So it has been 40's lows and 50's & 60's high for the last couple of days. Today and tomorrow it's going to be in the 80's and Sunday it's going to drop to high in the the low 40's and low's in the 20's!!! But it's going to be in the 70's for Christmas. Texas weather is nuts and I'm hoping all this doesn't make me sick! I've got too much to do to be sick!
Tonight I'm going with some friends to something called Room Escape. You get put into a room with puzzles and you have to solve them in order to escape. You get 60 mins on the clock. I will let you know if we fail or succeed! I heard it's really fun so I'm excited! I used to never go out like this with friends. I would always cancel at the last minute because I was too ashamed and embarrassed of my weight.
QOTD: Christmas time while being MO was always tough. Everything was such a hassle. Sitting on the floor to wrap presents ugh!! Also, it was embarrassing when everyone around you is being gifted sweaters and hoodies and I get a blanket because nobody was going to ask my size and i didn't want to tell them yeah get me a mens 3X! And yes the sweating! Getting out of the hot shower, rushing to get ready I always felt sweaty and nasty and put on uncomfortable clothes and looked like crap anyway! Who wants to get ready and dolled up when hat the way you look?!! I wanted to wear Christmas PJ's like everyone else but I was too fat for PJ's!!!
My photos are of my tree and my Dad who looks like Santa. I my Dad and he is loved by so many! He is my best friend.

"I am basically food's creepy ex-girlfriend. I know we can't be together anymore but I just want to spend time hanging out" ~me, about why I love cooking so much post WLS
I'm late again to post and...YIKES!...there are already 61 posts! I think I'm only going to work a half day today because of the big snowstorm that's supposed to get underway this afternoon, so this'll be a quickie - I'll read through the posts later on today (from home!!). I'm the guest again at a pre-op class later on this morning - love doing this! Some of these groups are great - so many good questions - and I always bring a couple of index cards filled with lists of things they should know going into this but might not know to ask about (e.g., the three-week stall!)
QOTD: I don't remember Christmases specifically, but I was always horribly uncomfortable at my highest weight. Couldn't walk very far, could only stand for like five minutes at a pop, always aching. Worried that I was going to have a heart attack and drop dead within the next five years. It was horrible! I'll try to find a Christmas pic from before surgery and post it later - that is, on some year that someone took a pic of me when I wasn't aware of it - I would have never knowingly been in a picture! Horrors!!
18 months out
B: coconut Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, double SF protein/pumpkin/Miralax chai tea latte
L: probably a protein bar (I have that class to talk to and am currently at a coffee shop - hard to do a regular lunch, won't have time to stop anywhere, and I do have a protein bar with me, so....)
D: something light because otherwise I'll go over on my calories. Maybe turkey chili or a turkey meatballs
I love everyone's decorations! My little one is using my phone while I'm on the computer, so no pictures.
Today I'm concentrating on drinking my protein slowly. I have such a long standing habit of eating and drinking fast AND always finishing everything even when I'm full. I've felt a bit sick to my stomach the past two days and I think drinking too fast/too much may be the cause. We're having Christmas with in-laws tomorrow at our house, so today is house straightening day. They're super awesome and we're just picking up a honey baked ham and sides and that will be it.
QOTD: Ugh. I've hated family photographs for years. And hated the complete lack of self-control when it comes to holiday sweets. So glad this year I can't eat them. Last Christmas, my husband had to do most of the gift set up and decorating and stuff since I was always so tired or just hard for me to move around on the ground. It will be similar this year but because I'm still recovering a bit from surgery.
B: protein shake
S: cottage cheese
L: maybe some scrambled egg? unsure
S: protein shake
D: refried beans and cheese
L: lots of water and a little tea
V: getting in an order of vitamins today! The ones I have are so yucky.
E: must get on treadmill

Good morning Daisy and gang...
QOTD: I have always been so hot and sluggish at the holidays. Lots of Christmas cookies, ham, eggnog, fudge, and miscellaneous candy. My blood sugars were always too high so I would not take them.... don't know, can't report. Ugh. So looking forward to a different Christmas this year! And I am getting very small on my top... this candle is melting ;)
B: Premier Protein chocolate with coffee
