What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
So when I took phentermine, I only liked the affects of it. I didn't really notice a huge change in my appetite, but I liked the buzz....
That doesn't speak well of me, does it??!

Interesting. I hate the buzz. I feel so flighty and unfocused. But it is a SUPERB appetite suppressant. I'm sitting here in front of a huge pile of doughnuts and just don't care...

Maybe I'm slightly ADD, because it made me accomplish things, stay focused... all the while, my head would tingle, and I laughed a lot!
Hahahaha... I'm a mess.

I do not think the Phentermine is "bad." What it is: just that. It is.
Really, you have done so much work on your own. You are strong and you know it inside, although I know how we all need to be reminded of our inner strength, especially during the challenging triggers of the holidays. Because we also know our inner demons.
You know the Phentermine is not going to be a habit.
Do you want to keep it around for days like today? Or do you just want to get rid of it? Decide and do.

Thanks for sharing about you taking the meds to help you not eat today. I know all of us in the back of our heads really wish there was a miracle cure for staying focused.
I would throw the meds away. I know you can do this without them. I just worry about the side effects from them.
You have done such a great job. I have been so off the past few days. Not really eating a lot. But not eating the right things.
So I went to the WAWA which is a like a Quike mart and got two huge 24oz coffees and some hard boiled eggs. I am going low to no carbs for the next few days. I know it should be longer than just a few days. I try to look at small goals then to look at long ones.
It can get overwhelming.
Of course you can make good decisions without chemical support, but it is perfectly understandable why you might want another tool on the very occasional basis. Don't beat yourself up, and enjoy giving that plate of donuts the middle finger.

Good morning everyone! Daisy I can not tell you how much I love your retirement plans!! Probably because they are so similar to my husbands and mine. We knew we wanted to in some way be involved with dogs during retirement but often thought it would just involve volunteering. But as with you, when we need to vacation, finding a good boarding facility got us thinking that may be not only a way to stay involved with dogs but also generate extra income. As for where in our state we may end up, that we still have no idea's about!
B: coffee
L: left over chili from dinner last night
D: salsa chicken (already in the crock pot)
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Friends!
Cold here today, too! 19 degrees. Not as cold as where you are, Daisy, but still plenty cold for my liking!
So sorry about your work stress, Daisy. No fun! I hope things are better today.
QOTD: I am on Disability so I am basically "retired". I love the town we live in and I love my home, but if Saralisa ends up moving somewhere else I will probably want to move to where ever she moves to be near her (and possible grand kids someday). I repair and sell ceramic figurines on eBay and that helps keep me out of trouble. LOL. I also take naps and enjoy time with my daughter and our pets. I would like to start painting (watercolors) again.
B: 2 eggs, sunny side up, 3 slices bacon
L: Chicken & wild rice soup
D: Chili dog
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese
Exercise: Walking the dogs or exercise bike if it's too cold to walk the dogs.
Have a great day everyone!

It's 12 here in Illinois right now so Lily and I will try for our walk later this afternoon. I will get my 3.2 miles in some way so some may be on the treadmill or bike. We shall see. Post op 4 years 3 3/4 months and weight at 117.6 today. I am disabled so have not worked for some time and hubby has been retired about a year. He worked for Boeing in St Louis for 32 years and at their last contract the company offered retirement to the long time employees. He got a house and extra pension. He wasn't planning on going out at 56 but when they said wages were locked for 10 years he took the deal. Money is tight but we are managing and get to spend time doing things we enjoy. We do volunteer work: Co directors of the local food pantry, cook and clean up at local senior meals program every Wednesday, hubby is a trustee at church and I am pianist and a certified lay speaker and visit home bound church members too. As you all know,we bought a 2010 Jayco Melbourne RV and spend time traveling to visit our two boys--one near Atlanta and one near Minneapolis --and going to state and national parks when the weather is good. I would love to go to somewhere warm for the winter someday too but with all my obligations to others we just can't right now. One of these days I will get fed up with the thankless jobs and quit and head to warmer areas but right now I keep busy where I am. Here's today's food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c sweet potatoes and onions D 31/2 oz roast beef 1/2 c sweet potatoes and onions S P3 Pak. Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices!
