So much furniture damage from kids vacuuming!  Hmmmm:  do I want the legs of my ottoman to look nice, or to teach my kids to be responsible.  Hard question right?  Hahaha.

Good morning my peeps.  I am up and at them today.  I'm feeling a bit better with my ear.  The pain is gone unless I touch or rub it, though it's still completely blocked.  I'm just taking my antibiotics and using my drops and if I can't hear out of it by this weekend, then I'll be going back to my doctor for another visit.

I am so not ready for Christmas.  I have so much to do, and too many plans.  We're supposed to be going to Frankenmuth on Friday night and then outlet mall shopping on Saturday morning/afternoon.  Then I have a Christmas get together at a friends house on Saturday evening.  Seriously, I have Sunday to get 5+ pairs of pajama pants made and my house cleaned for Christmas (I am horrible at housework during the week after working and then dealing with the kids).  Hubby goes back to work next week and will probably be gone for most of the week.  Uggghh, I am feeling overwhelmed, and I'm seriously considering cancelling our trip to Frankenmuth this Friday, though I was excited to take the kids to see it all decorated.

So my day yesterday ended badly.  I had done so well throughout the day, and my dinner was on point with 4oz of chicken and a few brussels sprouts.  But, I had some Gardettos at home, and I finished them off.  So, that sucked.  I officially have no more snack foods in the house that I can binge on, and I will not be buying any more anytime soon.

I am committed to my plan today and this is what I have:

16+ months since surgery and my weight was at 162 this morning! Uggh, I need to drop 8lbs fast.

B: Egg cup with bacon, onions, tomatoes and sharp cheddar.  Coffee with SF coffeemate

L: Romaine Salad with cucumbers, one diced mozzarella cheese stick and 4oz of chicken and Bolthouse Farms Ranch dressing

D: Grilled chicken and steamed veg

S: Carbmaster Protein Smoothie this morning and a babybel and turkey pepperoni this afternoon

Totals:

Calories 869 Protein 96 carbs 26 fat 42

I'm loving this menu today.  I feel confident that I'll stay on plan throughout the day, but I'm a little worried about this evening.  If I feel the need to eat more after dinner, I'll just have more chicken.

I haven't had borscht in ages - used to make it all the time when I was in a CSA (community supported agriculture) and got beets in my box all the time!  I think I'll make it again - I miss it!

I bought these fleece "long johns" at Walmart this year. One shirt so far, but I have it on today under my dressy cardigan and I am delightfully cozy. I will be buying more.

Writing this from bed.  I've already had breakfast, but it's freezing again today and I'm dreading going out in this.  We're talking like zero degrees freezing.  When is spring coming??  I think I'll work remotely this morning.  Trying decide which is the warmest coffee shop in the area, because that's where I'll head!  Maybe the one with the roaring fire....

meeting a couple of friends for lunch at a Thai place.  Two dishes stuck out when I looked at the menu - 1) green papaya salad with a side of grilled chicken  and b) steamed broccoli topped with grilled chicken and peanut sauce (I'll ask for the peanut sauce on the side).   Hmmm hmmm hmmm....

18 months out

B:  L&F coconut vanilla yogurt with 10 raspberries and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola

S:  coffee with half & half, SF protein mocha Metamucil latte

L:  one of the two aforementioned Thai dishes

D:  probably 1 C chili

if I can afford the calories, another Greek yogurt or a chai tea latte later....

exercise:   too cold!  I'm going to force myself to go to Aqua Zumba tomorrow, but it'll be even colder!!

oh!  I forgot the QOTD!   I'm not sure if this is a quirk, but almost every day, I worry that I've left the garage door open.  I don't know how many times in the last 20 years I've gone back home to make sure the garage door is closed.  Once we were leaving on a trip, and I called a neighbor when we were on our way to the airport to have her check to see if my garage door was open.   I have *never*, in the last 20 years, have once left it open.  It is always closed.   But I worry about this almost every freaking day!
