Good morning guys!

This morning I woke up and my son, who often crawls in with us, tells me that it's almost his birthday and that even though he will be 5 and a big boy, he'll still be my baby.  It was an adorable start to my morning.   We have a coffee date with a friend later this morning so our day is somewhat built around that.  I need to hit the grocery store to get more milk for another batch of yogurt but other than that it's looking to be a light day in terms of how busy I am.   Most people love relaxing days....whereas I like to stay busy because it means I don't get bored.  If I'm bored, I want to snack....so I try to stay as busy as possible.  Is that weird?  My hubby is always after me to just sit still and enjoy relaxing once in awhile

QOTD: I'm quirky about cleanliness - I'm not a germaphobe or anything that severe....but I like my home to be organized and uncluttered.  I've had to learn to adjust after having our son, toys and crumbs are just going to happen but if it gets too cluttery and messy it makes me anxious.  I'm sure it's a throwback to growing up in a home with lots of clutter and mess, single mom raising 3 girls and running a business can only do so much y'know?

B: Homemade greek yogurt with protein granola

2ndB: Coffee

S: Apple slices with a bit of SF peanut butter

L: Chicken Salad, green beans

S: String Cheese, Hardboiled Egg

D: TBD

L: Water, Water, Water and more Water - I hope I retain my love for ice-water post-surgery because it really is my favorite way to drink it.

11 sleeps until Christmas?! I need to finish wrapping things!

Have an awesome day guys!

I'm the same way about not  sitting still. I  think it came from years of sitting on the couch because it hurt too much to move. Now hubby asks if I ever sit still to watch a 30 minutes TV show--and the answer is no.

I've noticed this happening to me too... now if I could only channel that nervous energy into something productive!

Can you share a copy or link to recipe of your homemade Greek yogurt?

I make mine in my instant pot. I got the recipe off the facebook instant pot page. it is truly amazing and better than any store bought.

I add sugar free jello to mine and SF torani syrup. I've made choc flavor/ vanilla , and cheesecake. My DH is super picky and LOVES it

I find it easier to boil the milk on the stove first- let it get to 180-185 temp, pull it off, get it to lower temp, put in the starter yogurt, then put in instant pot on yogurt setting for 10.5 hours

First - I love your name!

Second - like supershopper, I make mine in the Instant Pot and the recipe is super duper easy.  There's a zillion recipes out there on pinterest, and even in the threads here, and the IP group here as well.  I've heard you can boil it on the stove first to get it to 185 but I just used the boil setting on the IP and called it good.  After it was done scalding I took it out and did a cold water bath until it cooled to 110, stirred in my starter (Fage 0%) and let it incubate for 8 hours.

I used the Fairlife whole milk for my first small batch and it turned out great.  I wanted the extra protein, limited sugar, and no lactose....lactose makes my guts unhappy sometimes so it's safer for me to avoid it in large quantities.

My next batch I'll try with the Fairlife 2%, and see how I like the consistency.   I'm also going to let it incubate longer because I like when my yogurt is a little tart.  Also because prefer my yogurt thick and creamy,  I strained it for 24 hours before putting it into individual containers :)

The straining didn't need anything fancy, I used a bowl, a colander, and some coffee filters - easy peasy!

Good morning Daisy and menu friends , Yes it definitely is cold this morning , the wind is just raw . OMGOSH 11 sleeps till Christmas I'm so excited , not ready but excited . I have 4 grandchildren and having small children to celebrate with makes me very happy .

I want it done a certain way , the proper way . I always end up redoing the job and that starts a argument so it saves me grief to just do it myself .

Menu

B 1 egg omlett , 1 / 2 oz of cheddar , 1 slice of peameal bacon

L Protein Drink , pb2

D 1 / 2 cup of Turkey spaghetti sauce

S 3 / 4 cup of plain Greek yogurt

Totals 617 calories    82 . 5 grams of protein

Hey, I have vacuum issues too! It's got to be done a certain way... SLOWLY, in a certain pattern... I find it relaxing to listen to the drone of the vacuum... my family all grab it, and run it over the rugs as fast as they can. I'm like "Hey, it isn't picking up everything that way!"
