What's on Your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 12/11/16 10:53 am
My ex husband would leave his keys in the door so often that when he misplaced them, which was a lot, the door was the first place he would look. Actually one night his car was broken into, not technically because it was unlocked but they got into it and took some stuff, all while the keys were dangling in the lock on the house about 20ft away.
Happy Sunday!! Brrrrrrr

QOTD: Bad habits: Hmmm... I would guess that DH could come up with more than a few! From my perspective it is allowing clutter to accumulate in out of sight places (drawers, closets). Clutter in sight drives me crazy, but out of sight out of mind. So periodically there has to be a purge.
B: usual eggbeaters, cottage cheese and red peppers/chilis
L: leftover meatballs from lunch out on Friday
D: out to dinner again (3rd night in a row - ''tis the season) - probably some kind of fish
S: cheese sticks, protein bar (going on a holiday house tour so will be on the move all afternoon
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I am going to jump in even though it is 5PM.... I turned my alarm off last night and slept in, I have not been getting enough sleep, of course then was in a rush once I woke up....
QOTD: Bad habits? I am with you on the shoes all over the house. I decided to put a basket inside my basement door on the stair landing which has helped some. gives me a place to stash them so they are not being tripped over coming in the front door...
I drink way more coffee/tea caffeinated beverages post op.... Not that I didn't drink it pre-op but it was rarely in the summer and maybe one or two cups daily in the winter.... as time goes out from surgery I drink plenty of "fluids" but it is mostly tea and coffee and an occasional water mixed with diet cranberry or powerade zero or something....find it much harder to drink plain water. The warm drinks seem to go down easier- so far today I had my 32oz coffee latte with miralax (8oz fairlife, 2+cups coffee, miralax and SF syrup=32oz), 24oz hot tea with sweetener and a little half and half, and 24oz water with cranberry mixed. that is 10 cups already, but no plain water to be seen.
I was having a headache yesterday, and was at my girlfriends and she had no Tylenol- so she said to me drink some water...I drank 2 large glasses room temp water and it did help, guess I was a little dehydrated.
I totally have no control over the paper beast- mail- receipts- work.... ugh how to keep it in control and organized...
B: leftover fritatta wrapped in low carb tortilla- didn't finish tortilla
S: Kirkland protein bar- getting off protein bars, but finishing up the ones I have occasionally
L: Turkey chili w/cheese,sour cream,avocado
S: Protein shake with spinach (trying to get some veggies in)
D: Steak and roasted veggies
S: Chocolate chai latte, cantaloupe w/ cottage cheese- maybe?

Happy Sunday! Today has been chaos as we are prepping for the new flooring project that starts in the morning. Right now my living room is filled with John's man cave stuff and the garage is full of Emily's room. They hope to get those two room done tomorrow and the hallway and living room started (those are getting wood laminate). My house is a mess!
Breakfast: latte, oatift and turkey sausage L: grilled chicken salad S: latte, yogurt and carrots D: pork loin and broccoli
Exercise: 6 miles ran this morning and many steps back and forth from the rooms to the garage (lol) Water/vits on track.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Howdy folks!
It's a late post, today has been a busy day. I didn't even touch the computer this morning...just went straight to puttering around the house doing things that needed doing. Hubby was out at work all day so it was me and the kiddo hanging out at home. I took the time to do laundry and cook (read: play) using my instant pot - I made some protein oatmeal in a jar, with yogurt and fruit...turned out pretty well but I need to thin it down because it was REALLY thick. Thick enough that I think post-surgery I'd probably have trouble with it. Then I made some chicken stock for future use with soups....I love soup, so I'm going to try and have a variety pre-frozen for use post-surgery. Last I made some yogurt...well I'm making it, it's still incubating for another 3 hours or so. I'm not a big fan of cooking if it takes forever to do so having something that makes it simple and, dare I say, easy is amazing for me.
Yesterday's trip to the movie theater was a success, our son had a great time and Moana was a cute movie. That being said....I had movie theater popcorn and afterwards I wanted to barf, I didn't even eat that much of it and post-banding popcorn hasn't been a problem....but I can safely say I'll never be eating it again, bleh!
QOTD: I like to sip on stuff while eating - I really have to work on my drinking-with-food habit, it's doable but I have to consciously think about it or I tend to forget. Just like with the vitamins and calcium and iron...I've started setting a timer to remind me when it's OK to drink after eating. I figure the more I work on it now, the easier it will be for me to do post-surgery right? I hope?
B: Coffee & oatmeal with yogurt/raspberries
L: Eggface's chicken salad
D: TBD
S: 1/2 cup plain yogurt with protein granola, nature valley protein bar
Hope everyone had a great day!

Very late post for me!
QOTD: im messy- I like to do things lilke spread christmas cards and paper all over the dining table and leave it for several weeks until I'm done. I get toothpaste on the bowl. I sometimes put a load of laundry in the washer then put in dryer and dont want to take them out and hang them up
Today was a busy one. Performed in our choir christmas, then went o a german restaurant. I was right pleased with myself and ordered in german. the owner is german so it was fun!
then we got a coffee/tea for us and went to a thrift store. I got 30 records for $2- mostly classical and opera and christmas, 3 crossstich/sampler artworks for $11 and DH got a vintage hollywood regency light that is amazing for $10! very excited
I made low carb choc PB fudge and low carb peanut butter. Apparently that entitled me to eat 300 or more calories of it last night. not cool.
So was over 1000 calories for the day :(
leaving at the butt crack of dawn for a work trip in ohio- wish me luck on the weather!
