Good morning, I'm finally back posting vs. lurking.  It's been crazy at work and I feel silly posting in this thread at the end of the day.

My pet peeve happened to me again this week.  I'm driving at or slightly above the posted speed limit in the right hand lane with 15 feet of spacing in front of me, but 100 cars ahead of me moving at the exact same speed.  Even many times already stopped or stopping at the next red light.  Then I see a guy on my bumper screaming and waving his hands.  Almost always they jump lanes, speed up, slow, flip me off and then scream at me before speeding off.  And yes you got it, only to stop dead 5 seconds later and for me to pass him as he sits in traffic in the left lane.  Unbelievable.  One time a guy was so upset that he jumped into oncoming traffic to get around me and caused a terrible accident with oncoming traffic.  I was on a one lane road with 30 cars ahead of me moving at 15 miles an hour because of construction.  What the heck was I doing to cause such a reaction?  Really an extra few feet of spacing - give me a break.

This photo is what I now face as I move from soft foods to general diet.  This picture was taken the day after thanksgiving.  Sadly I found out I don't like Turkey anymore - my most favorite protein prior.  Thankfully they also had spiral ham.  Yum!  Look where Oreo is starring.  I started quoting lines from Star Wars,  speaking as the creepy Emperor "You want that."  Also can someone explain to me why after 6 weeks that I still have my spirometer on my table of RNY stuff?

You may be OK with Turkey by next Thanksgiving...you are still early out... it is OK to put a little gravy broth or sauce on things to make them moist... key word: Little....

I got mine at Walmart in Mississauga.

If you like chocolate covered almonds and like mint then you will love these!  They look weird but taste awesome!!!

Gotta get going this morning, but trying to make good on my goal to post here each day.

Not starting off the day well, because I have to leave before I have made my eating plan.  And today is definitely an eat on the run day, all day.  Well, here goes:

B:  Greek yogurt and blueberries and almonds

L:  This depends on where I am, but probably Wendys Chili

D:  Eating out with family--probably will get the pulled turkey salad at the local cafe.

S:  homemade parmesan cheese crisps

Pet peeve:  goodness, I get bugged by lots of things.  Here's one lately:  people who ask you to do volunteer/church stuff related to your professional training, and they think it is little stuff, and that it should be so easy for you, but it takes gobs of your time, because things aren't as easy as they seem.  And also because since it IS my professional training, I care how it turns out, as a reflection on me, even though I don't care about the thing itself.  (I just care about the people who asked, and I am not good at saying no and must work on that.)

GRIM!  I totally tried to upload a photo of me snapping my toes like fingers!  I could not figure out (quickly) how to upload a video to this site.  So you will have to imagine:  me snapping my toes--like FINGERS--is the most awesome, life-changing experience you could ever have.  Snap snap snap.  I feel a song coming on.

So THIS photo is me in all my unmadeup glory.  Last night!

We have a thing in our family, "Plaid Thursday."  My 18 yr old son and his friends did this as a goofy friend thing starting a few years ago.  THey would all just wear plaid on Thursday.  This son is now living in Korea on a religious service mission.  We wear plaid in his honor every Thursday, and send him a photo through email.

Ooooooh.  The best snapping song ever.  I was toying with writing in a song title, but I knew you would know the best one.

Oh, can I ever relate to your pet peeve! I used to own a bakery. I would be asked to make cake or dessert for every major function we were invited to. My favorite thing about not owning the business anymore is that i can show up at a wedding, not be exhausted from making the cake or stressing that the venue messes something up, or people won't like it etc.! I just get show up! Same with charitable events. We did tons, but people have no concept of the cost and labor that goes into it, when the comparison is a slab cake from Costco.
