Experience with scallops?
I was able to do scallops pretty much early out. With my crazy pouch, I was happy something I really loved was still tolerable.
So funny how everyone is so different.

Salmon is not ok for me. I tried it a few times after surgery since it is such a good protein/calorie ratio...each time I was sick as a dog. I think it is too fatty for me. Shrimp...yes...never have had a problem. Scallops...they are just yucky so no by choice. I did have one at Thanksgiving since my friend had made them just for me ("Oh gee thanks..." painful fake grin) and I didn't have any issues with it other than I didn't like the taste. Even before surgery I was never really a seafood lover. Shrimp is pretty much the only seafood I will go out of my way to eat.

Totally fine with scallops but everyone is different. I would only try a new food at home but that's just me. Good luck!

Love scallops. But they are dense for me food. Even now - 4-5 mid size is a meal for me. Evening meal. I can eat 4-5 oz of fillet and a few bites or veggies. Or 4 scallops.
When eating out - a lot of places use sweet sauce with scallops. Bad, bad choice for me.

Salmon, shrimp, scallops, really any fish is tough for me at three months out. More of a texture issue. Scallops are rubbery if overcooked, same with all fish. I just do not trust anyone else to cook things RARE for me. If you are going to try them cook them yourself, barely.
