My kids played last year... she was 16, and while I didn't let him officially sit at the table with us last year, he was 13, and got plenty of earfuls of the game!
I was both proud as hell, and mortified, that my daughter totally kicked ass and won the game she was in!

My kid was trying to ask me what "road head" was. We told him that a rule of playing the game was that if we refused to explain something, he had to deal with it. I told him "ask your friends". lol.
He tried to embarrass me a few times with his responses last year. The best part is taht I've been around a lot longer than he has and I've done and seen a lot that he couldn't imagine. He can't embarrass me, but I learned that I surely can embarrass him!
Good Morning! I hope the party goes better than you think it will. Yeah, can't believe Christmas is only two weeks away and don't think I can wrap my head around it until the flooring is done and then I'm traveling so yeah.......

Morning...
That is me this morning... the joys of country living, coupled with owning a Yorkie who doubles as a 'mouser'... she was up ALL NIGHT, OBSESSED, going from our Master closet, to my daughter's bedroom, to scratching on the guest bedroom door, AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT! The fact of the matter is, when it gets cold out in the country, the mice get cold too... and they find ways in our house. I HATE IT.... but there's nothing we can do except set up a bunch of traps and kill the little suckers. That's happening tonight... fun part is finding places to put the traps that the 5lb little stinker can't get to and get hurt! Tonight she gets a dose of Benedryl... praying she'll sleep. (and also praying I don't actually ever SEE these apparent mice in our house). Ugh.
QOTD: I love some board games, and playing poker used to be something my friends and I did a lot when I was younger... I'd love to bring more of that back, but it seems we just can't find time to arrange any game nights. We did recently get a dartboard for our gameroom upstairs, and the 4 of us have been playing a lot lately. It's been great family time! Cards Against Humanity on New Years Day is one tradition that will continue this year. Kids will be with their dad, so it'll be fun with our friends.
Weight this morning: 166.6 (The devil is leaving my body?)
B: 2.5 ounces of steak
L: 3 ounces of chicken fried (cauliflower) rice - mostly chicken
D: TBD (It's family Christmas shopping night. It will be something from the food court at the mall most likely. The chinese places always have something with no sugar in it, and you can get it ala carte, might do that)
I have a hate/love relationship with Christmas... I love the idea of it, but I wish we hadn't made it such a commercial thing that it now cuts our Thanksgiving short so those that want to can race out to grab that special deal... Bah Humbug!

I have cats who are amazing mouse's and also live on the edge of a 200 acre cornfield so we too often have unwanted visitors in our home--usually only for a very short time. Our family finally scaled back Christmas because it had become about the gifts and not the time spent with friends and family. We no longer buy tons of gifts for cousins and aunts we barely know but now do one or two gifts for the inlaws and our boys. It's so much better that way.
