Good morning everyone! It's mid week thank god! So this morning is my dreaded work Christmas party! 3 hours at 8am of forced conversation and being with a bunch of pompous asses, give me strength!! Is it just me or is everyone else feeling not festive, I am not prepared and with Christmas just over two weeks away I am feeling that ***** I need to get my butt in gear!! Is it just me? Probably.
QOTD: Games. Are you into playing cards? Do you like board games? Do you like crossword puzzles, find a word or Sudoku? I love games!! I LOVE cards, Euchre is my fav!! I also love Trivial Pursuit, the original version. I friggin love Pictionary and Balderdash, with my family I have yet to lose a game of Balderdash, apparently I am the Queen of bull**** and yes I am quite proud of that ha ha ha! I hate Scrabble, hate crossword puzzles and don't even talk to me about Sudoku, that's devil work there lol lol!

E: hike the dogs when I get home then have to go & get hubby's truck at the dealership where it's getting some special servicing done and then hike the dogs again after dinner, no gym again tonight, I don't like missing my work outs, but I am sooo busy!!

Good morning! I hope you feel more rested today, Daisy! I'm definitely feeling better. A good night's sleep does wonders! I'm ready to tackle my back to back day of meetings. I only have 3 half hour breaks between 8am -4:30pm. I hate Wednesdays! I hope you make it through your party unscathed!
I did it! I lost a pound! This morning I am 118.1 which is still at the high end of comfort in maintenance but the scale is going in the right direction, so I'm confident that I can get back down to at least 115 before Christmas if I keep working at it, and avoid all those BLTs--Bites, Licks and Tastes). I brought the exact same thing as yesterday since it worked. Ha, I'm superstitious.
QOTD: I love board games but I'm way too competitive and literally no one will play with me anymore. Apparently I was like this even as a wee one playing Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders with my parents. Ha. So this is where we diverge, my twinsie... I would do crossword puzzles and Scrabble for a living if someone would pay me! I do a NYTimes Crossword on my phone every day and play virtual phone scrabble with strangers (because, again, no one in my "real life" will play with me anymore!). I even love Sudoku.

No, you're definitely not alone daisy! I go through this every year. I'm super pumped for Xmas early, then it takes a big dip, and should resurface just before hahaha. I've learned to embrace it. I'm the crazy person making lists and crafting in November. But I'll also be the one in the mall December 23!
Qotd: huge euchre fans here. Actually my hubby and I plan a euchre tournament fundraiser in February. We play a lot of games. The latest is Ticket to Ride.

You're so sweet to make a meal for your vegan friend! I have vegetarian and vegan friends who always complain that people think serving some asparagus is a meal for them LOL. One thing I have done for the veg's in my life is make black bean enchiladas. A can of vegetarian black beans, mixed with cumin and garlic and whatever other spices sound good...then wrap it up in a tortilla and smother it with enchilada sauce and bake. Now, my non-veg version is a tortilla stuffed with a mixture of white meat chicken, light sour cream, and green chilies, with cheese on top. Yum!
Thanks for the suggestion! I love black beans and often forget about them. Pre op, I would often cook vegan or meatless, say for meatless Monday. But post op, it's meat meat meat. So I'm kind of selfishly looking forward to it! I'll still add protein, but it will be nice to have a couple of bites hahah!
