Had RNY last Wednesday in Mexico

I'm going to Monterrey, and the surgeon is Dr. Manuel Garcia Garza. I was a little concerned b/c I don't see anyone on here who has even mentioned his name, but I did find him through the Bariatric Center of Excellence website so I feel pretty confident. he's a little more expensive, so maybe that's why more people haven't gone to him!?

First I wouldn't go to Mexico for it knew someone who did that and then had to redo here in the states because the surgeon screwdriver up

Congratulations on your surgery!  I'm from San Diego originally and it was common practice to head south of the border for dental work or surgery.  There are definitely some great clinics in Mexico.

This forum is great and I relied on it a lot for practical advice before and after surgery especially. 

I recommend the book "Recipes for Life After Weight Loss Surgery" by Joseph Ewing, Margaret Furtado and Lynette Schultz.  You can get the kindle or regular edition on Amazon.  I found it to be a great guide for what and how I should be drinking and eating at various stages.
