The rain is finally gone and it's sunny and bright. It supposed to get back into the 70's.

I don't have a hard time sleeping but I have a hard time actually getting myself into bed. I feel like I need to chill after the kids go to bed. There is just not enough time in the day. 11 pm is the earliest. Also, the sooner I go to bed, the sooner I have to get up and go to work the next day. Blaaaaa

QOTD: I love giving gifts and I'm pretty good at it. Unfortunately this year we don't have the money. My husband is a full time student and works part time mainly for the experience. It's very little pay. We don't exchange gifts with my side of the family except the kids of course. My husbands side we draw names with the siblings and their spouses. This year I need to figure out some DIY gifts. Any of your ideas are welcome!!

My menu is boring...Protein shake, tuna, don't know what's for dinner.

Good morning menu gang.  I am late posting.  Everyone is finally getting well in my house so that is a great thing.

QOTD- We have such a big family we usually draw names.  It is easier and you can spend your time really thinking about what that perosn would really love to get and make it special.  Santa still comes for our kids even though they are teenagers.  They do not know what they are getting.  I make a list throughout the year of things I hear them say they would like and we try to get those things for them.

Time since surgery 9 months 164 this morning.

B- 3 chicken nuggets (not the best but we over slept lol)

L- 2 oz Grilled Chicken

D- 2 oz Steak

S- Something protein

I hope everyone has a fantabulous day!!

Surgery date March 4, 2016

Morning everyone!

QOTD: I would like to do some of Christmas differently, namely with the in-laws... they give lists, very specific lists, and everyone just fills out the list. It's odd to me... I mean, hints, general ideas, etc are fine, but specific lists are different to me. I'd like for us (sister/brother in law and us specifically and our moms) to just all pay for a weekend excursion and skip the presents. Now don't get me wrong, I'm spoiled with Christmas since I met my husband. He is thoughtful, and very generous with the presents (not necessarily expensive, just abundant!). I think I cried our first Christmas together, and I was so overwhelmed with all the presents surrounding me. I feel like a princess on Christmas Morning! My ex and I used to only get things for the kids, which was fine, probably because we couldn't afford anything else for each other, but I have to say when I see all the presents with my name on them, I feel special now.

I've decided to continue to shop for a dress... and in the meantime I 'hid' a couple of those ones I tried on in a different size category, so maybe they'll still be there if I need them

Weight this morning 167.2

B: 2.5 ounces of steak

L: 3 ounces of chicken fried (cauliflower) rice - heavy on the chicken

D: I still didn't take anything out. Last night we had errands to run, and my dinner consisted of a handful of pork rinds, and then a couple of hours later, a hot decaf coffee. Tonight maybe I'll do better, but it's a busy week, with things to do every night... Love that my blood sugar doesn't' go wonky anymore, and I can skip a meal without getting shaky.

S: Decaf with coconut creamer and SF syrup (perhaps 3 or more during the day)

The black lace was most definitely the most classic looking of all of them. I just don't know which way I want to go... I guess when I have it on, I'll know? Shopping today at a Goodwill, and possibly this consignment store if I can squeeze both in during lunch!

Happy Tuesday friends!  All is going well in my world save my obsessing over the scale.  Uhg.  I know I need to watch it and watch it closely.  I know that is key to long term success.  BUT...I make myself crazy it seems. I weighed this morning and was up to 123.4 from 122.6 yesterday morning. I instantly felt like a failure and started stressing about everything I might have done wrong in this lifetime and perhaps the last. I don't even know what to think about that.  After all, I am way below goal and have been fretting that I can't hold this weight and will need a feeding tube or some craziness.  So...if I know in my logical mind that 123 or even 125 is great...why do I flip out emotionally as soon as the scale say 123? Geez.  The brain...it is making me nuts. Will work through my emotions through the day but just wanted to share in case any of you have had these types of experiences.

QOTD: We buy for the kids, a few very close friends, and each other.  My Guy and I are trying to keep our budget better so we are keeping things sane this year.  For me honestly I told my Guy that all the new clothes I have had to have are more than enough presents.  He will probably have a few small surprise gifts for me.  I have no clue what to get him. Thinking about a pressure washer.  He loves power tools and he needs one for the house so we can paint it in the Spring.

Menu: B: Chobani Simply 100 "Crunch" Black Cherry Pie flavor (yummy), L: 1 cup grilled chicken pieces with 1/4 shredded cheese; D: Thinking I like this "Taco Tuesday" theory (meat, cheese, salsa, tortilla); S: Light & Fit Banana Cream

Totals: Cal 912, Protein 98, Carb 45, Fat 37

I hear you on the scale... finding peace in maintenance I am finding harder than during weight loss. My clothes still fit, but I am terrified of getting on the scale tomorrow after a week away. If I could control myself after one piece of breaking into the ginger bread house with my grandson it would help

Maybe you need to pick a range of number... 122 - 125... for example. And make that range your comfortable range... your "I'm not allowed to freak out as long as I am between those numbers... then when it fluctuates, you can 'see' that you're still in the comfort zone? I don't know, obviously because I'm far from there, but maybe it'll help with the obsessing??

I need a 'Taco Tuesday' day... I can skip the tortillas, but damn, tacos sound good!
