What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
JB, thank you so much for the great advice. I'll save some money and skip the extra. It tasted like crap anyway, even though I still choked it down.
I had no idea about that, but I'll keep that advice and maybe the shake will taste better next time!

Good Morning! Off to a busy Tuesday already...so many emails already! I have been going to bed a bit later than normal but usually averaging just under 7 hours according to my Fitbit so I should be good to go. You might need some extra coffee shots today.
QOTD: In addition to Em, we typically buy (or give $ to my nephew), a little something for my mother in law, a few family friends (like some sort of game) and then either chocolates or baked goodies for neighbors, hair dresser, dog groomer, teachers and such. Oh, and I have to go a little something for my employees.
This year is going to strange since we aren't decorating at home (we are having new flooring put in next week and then I travel for work the week of the 18th so by the time we would get it all set up it'd be time to take it down). I did buy Em a small live tree for her room which she was fine with....phew!!

Awww, Daisy...I am sorry you're so tired! Honestly I sleep like crap since surgery so I take Benadryl every night but I average about 6 hours of sleep. Ugh.
Funny that you ask about gifts - I am ALL about experiences, and it's so fun to plan outings with my boyfriend's kids - we have taken them to college football games, Christmas lights, baseball games, an upcoming basketball game, an upcoming NFL game, weekend trips away...but I have to say I am WAY into Christmas this year. I know they don't technically "need" a lot of stuff, but I can't stop myself from buying them presents. Plus, they get so excited every time there is a gift under the tree. I totally missed the ball on adopting a family for Christmas this year, but I love your idea of buying supplies for an animal shelter and the kids LOVE animals, so this weekend we will totally go buy supplies and bring them to a shelter. So thank you!!! That will make them so happy!
I made an incredible crockpot meal last night that I just have to share. My BF loved it too. And the flavors are right up your alley.
In the crockpot, add one sliced red onion, one sliced green pepper, one sliced red pepper. Add a small can of tomato paste. Then a glut of Frank's Red Hot Sauce (that's a scientific term for as much hot sauce as you want, and use your favorite). On top of that put chicken breasts (I used two ginormous ones). The recipe calls to add seasoning (cumin, paprika, salt, sugar, pepper) but I used an envelope of fajita seasoning. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil. Turn crockpot on high. 3.5 hours later, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it all together. It's chicken fajitas! So easy and so flavorful! You can eat it with a fork, put it on chips, use it inside a quesadilla - whatever you want! Give it a try!
Time since surgery: 3 years next week!
B: Leftover bbq chicken
L: Turkey and cheese sandwich, side salad with cucumbers and snow peas
D: Leftover fajita chicken made into a quesadilla
E: Elliptical
Thanks again for the pet shelter gift idea!
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Friends!
QOTD: I love giving presents and enjoy trying to find something extra special for each person I give to. Mostly it's my daughter, Saralisa and just a few close friends that get presents from me. I spoil Saralisa rotten at Christmas and her birthday is January 5th, so she gets a ton of presents for that, too. I buy a lot of things on the local online dollar auction and at thrift stores so she will have lots of presents to open. (Also if she doesn't like some of the clothes or other things I picked out for her, I didn't spend a fortune on each one so it doesn't matter.)
B: 2 eggs, sunny side up, 3 strips bacon
L: lettuce, spinach, 2 h.b.eggs, bacon, cheese, low cal dressing
D: chicken & rice soup
S: Light n fit Greek yogurt
S: roast beef rolled up with cream cheese
Exercise: Walking the dogs around the subdivision
Have a wonderful day everyone!
