It's been 13 years since I had my rny but I can remember being tired for quite awhile. That being said I was on anti depressants before and after surgery bc I have a history of major depression. Hope you feel better soon

the fatigue could be low iron.  It wouldn't hurt to get your blood checked for everything.

My iron was normal pre-op, then dropped dramatically post-op.  It took me 5 months to get my iron back up to near-normal and I was thoroughly fatigued the whole time.

the other posters here have given great suggestions in relation to the possible depression

and Hala's comment about the no carbs thing.  holy hell is it true.  I used to self-medicate with excessive amounts of carbs and have not done so since surgery.  I have gone through all sorts of depression and personality disorder problems with my psychologist since the surgery.  I did not have these issues pre-op, because my eating covered it all up.

It is so weird that I feel better knowing other folks went through this.  I did start a antidepressant- day number 2.  And this morning I woke up early and made myself fix my hair and put on make up rather the normal pony tale/ pale face I normally sport to work.  So far the extra effort hasn't done much for me but the day is still early!
