Yum. Is that how you made your pumpkin protein latte? Sounds delish!

Any pics from your meet up!?

we took a million because I kept saying I looked so old in them!  I blamed the lighting in the restaurant - although oddly, Cynthia didn't look old, and she was standing in the same light.   I think I just look old!

I just posted one to Facebook so you could see it.  We were going to post here next week when more people are on the menu thread (where does everyone go on the weekends, anyway??).

re:  pumpkin lattes - yes!  I *was* using the SF Torani brown sugar & cinnamon syrup to make them - plus adding some dry pumpkin spices, but this pumpkin pie syrup is even better - don't have to add the dry spices!  In addition to that, I use unsweetened cashew milk, coffee, a scoop of canned pumpkin, and vanilla protein powder.  I often add a couple of tablespoons of light Cool Whip, too, for creaminess (Cynthia adds a little half & half to hers for the same reason) - and I often put ice in it and whip it up in a blender.  Yum!!!

just so you know - I'm not "out" about my surgery (although I'm sure there are people who suspect it....)

Good morning. Question of the day. My house is very dark wood. I hate it sometimes. I had a house near the bay which I loved the rooms were all bright. I called the colors my Easter egg colors.

Good morning everyone.  I am still lazing around in bed before I start my day.  Super cute pictures Julia.  You both look so happy, healthy and in love.  Warms my heart.

Tonight is the charity Holiday Ball, and I spent the evening last night shopping for a dress.  My hunt was successful, and I got the perfect one.  Pictures tomorrow.

i don't know if you've ever been to a Nordstrom private shopping event, but they are fun!  They lubricant you with wine, champagne and food while you shop.  Plus 10 points for every $1 spent.  Yay!  I also bought a second dress for Christmas Eve, shoes, a sweater and a super cushy long sleeved shirt.  I even managed to get a few Christmas gifts for others. A holiday miracle.

My "to do" list for today is laundry and a mani/pedi.  I also want to get to Bath and Body Shop because they have their candles on sale today only for $8.50. They make great hostess gifts for all of those holiday parties coming up.

QOTD:  My house is painted in neutral colors, pale sage, soft yellow, off white.  I went from a lot of color on the walls a couple of years ago, the more neutrals, including my furniture  I have a short attention span, an I am always making changes. I find that it is easier to change the stuff on the walls, than the walls itself, for a refreshed look. Also, easy to change bedding, accessories, even rugs to mix things up. The neutrals make a nice backdrop for everything else.

i am starting on a basement gut and build out.  I just hired a contractor, engineer and architect to run the project.  They are working on the plans now.  What have I gotten myself into? This is the biggest home project I have ever attempted.  You may all have to talk me down off the ledge many times in the coming months.

My menu today is bacon and mozzarella omelette, beef stew for lunch and then steak at the Ball tonight.

Have a great day everyone!

QOTD: We have been on our house 10 years now. It was new when we moved in and mostly different shades of tan/khaki. We are redoing everything in grey, which apparently is the new neutral. Here is a picture of my bathroom after it had to be remodeled (it had to be demolished because of a leaky toilet).

I love it.
