Let me know how the blood work went? Can't wait to hear your results.
When I have to go for blood work my Centre makes us fast and its so hard because it puts the rest of my day off!
Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is a meeting day so I am running behind as I have been prepping all my meeting related stuff. Missing work so much the first half of the month definitely has leveled up the challenge. No worries...I am ready to go and have an hour to spare before the meeting starts.
QOTD: There is no item in particular but there is a thieving horrible man in my little world that I often want to end! You see, what happens is this... I measure out a portion of a particular item...could be anything...popcorn, salami, cheese, pretzels, steak...anything.... he walks up and helps himself to a bite or two from my serving!!!!! I'm like WWWHHHHAAAAA!!! You did NOT just!?!?! He knows it makes me crazy because I can't really know how much he ate vs how much I ate. It throws all my MFP numbers out of whack. Anddddd...I REALLY hate it when he does it ON THE LAST BITE! You know...THAT bite...that last bite... the one you have been sort of pushing around your bowl for a few minutes savoring. THAT BITE! I tell him he is the worst and he just laughs and says, "You married me!" Being married to a sadist is the pits sometimes. Other times I find him charming.... but...that last bite???? Really?? LOL
Menu: B: Chobani "Crunch" Simply 100, L: Light and Fit Greek yogurt and low fat cheese stick; D: No clue...off to the store after work. The fridge is looking bare. That is the one draw back to not cooking at my house for Thanksgiving...no leftovers.
Down another pound this morning to 123. Trying to add in a bit more dense protein to hold the line. Wheee!
Have a wonderful day ya'll!
~Elizabeth

too many meetings is not fair, I find. I just hate being in meetings all day long!
OMG Elizabeth your answer is hilarious!! As I was reading it all I could think about was that "last bite" everyone saves that last bite, because its special, its got the right mix of food, or sauce or whatever but how dare hubby take your last bite!! Tell him I am sitting up here in Canada shaming him, let his beautiful wife have the last bite dude!!! LOL
Yes get that protein in, you are still healing girl!!!
QOTD: not really. We both eat Greek yogurt every day, but we like different kinds. He's eaten one or two of my Quest bars in the last year or so - but seems indifferent to them (otherwise, he would have eaten a lot more than one or two!). Although I really don't have much in the way of bariatric-centric food, other than protein powders and a few Quest bars for "emergencies".
17 months out:
B: 2% plain Greek yogurt with SF blackberry/blueberry sauce
S: coffee with half & half, SF protein mocha/pepperment/Miralax latte, a very small pear, 1 serving Moon Cheese
L: 1 C cottage cheese
D: either asparagus soup with a little added protein powder, or grilled mahi-mahi
maybe a L&F yogurt later if I can afford the calories (already running a bit heavy....)
exercise: I may go to TRX, even though I'm not crazy about it. I have to start working in more strength-training classes! (I love water-based activities and yoga, but not strength-training)
