Nothing I hate more in this world is people who can't drive in bad weather and who don't prepare for it. Drives me bonkers!!

i could totally see your kids jacking your stuff! For some reason other people's food "tastes better!" Ha ha   Damn teenagers, should have told them it was all laced with laxatives to help you poop now post surgery, they would have left it alone!

I love kielbasa, I could eat that for days!! Especially in the BBQ or let it get crispy in a frying pan, yum!!

When I cook kielbasa, I have just cook it enough to warm it, anything else and I cannot eat it.  Well it wont stay down if I cook it any more.  I also have to take the casing off, I learned that the hard way...many times before I smartened up!

Good morning DD2 and gang.  It's rainy here, but it's in the 50's, which is weird to me.  I just got to work and I was super overheated, so I took off my cardigan and am in short sleeves right now.  I got a new coat this weekend and I wore it today.  It's down, so by the time I got to work I wanted to turn on the AC in the car, and I just can't seem to cool down.

I have to say, while my commute to work has doubled with this new position, I am really enjoying the drive because I got back in to listening to audio books.  Right now I'm listening to Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.  I have read this book before in print, and enjoyed it, but it's been years and while I remember the basic plot of the book, it feels very fresh with the audio.  Does anyone else listen to audio books?

DDQOTD:  It's funny, my hubby never used to eat protein bars before I had surgery, but I experimented with them in the last year and found the ones that I like.  I don't really eat them regularly, but now my hubby eats them as a snack in lieu of a candy bar or other more unhealthy snack.  Also, we never at jerky, but all of us, including my teenager and the baby, really like it and will eat it if we buy it or make it.  But honestly, I very rarely buy bariatric centric foods.  I don't drink hot chocolate, though I do have a box of diet swiss miss.   My teenager loves Light and Fit, and the baby likes it too, so I just started buying enough for all of us and they have it as snacks as well.  Though I can totally understand your feelings about paying so much to have something shipped to you from the US, I don't have that issue here.

Also, my teenager told me he lost some weight, so I asked him how much he weighs, and it sounds like that kid has lost like 20lbs in the last 6 months.  I'm very proud of him.

15 months 25 days since surgery

B: bagel with cream cheese (ack) and coffee with cream and splenda

L: I'm going to have to grab something from the deli downstairs since I didn't get to the grocery store last night.  Traffic was a nightmare with the rain and I didn't even get home until after 6 and then had to cook and etc. Hubby won't be home until Wednesday night.

D: Baked cod

S: light and fit yogurt

no totals because it's incomplete.

Have a wonderful Tuesday.

I used to have a 1 hr and 20 min commute (one way) to work, so for about 3 years, i listened to a lot of audio books. I listened to the whole Game of Thrones series, Girl with the Dragon Tatoo series, Emily Giffin books, nicolas sparks books, Divergent Series, and listened to Hunger Games series again, haha.

I am audible and podcast obsessed!!!!! You are right--it's the only good part about a long crappy commute. PM me if you want recommendations for either--I have a million that I love :)

Congrats to your son. Good job!

I love your whole family is eating better, that's awesome!  Congrats to your oldest!  Good for him!! You must be a proud Mama!

I don't listen to audio books, and I should cuz I have a long ass commute to & from work, how come I never thought of that!  And I love reading, thanks for the idea girl!!

Have a good evening, only one sleep until hubby gets home!

I use the Overdrive app on my iPhone and download audio books from the library.  When I go into the office it is 1.5-2 hours each way so it really helps pass the time.  I have to have books where I can miss a bit and still stay with the story though.
