What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Happy Monday and welcome to the Holiday Swirl! Thanksgiving was lovely. I really loved having the kiddos all together and enjoyed spending time with our friends. I didn't find myself having any special trouble being cautious about food choices with the exception of a small Cool Whip issue. The scale remained fairly steady, I dropped down to 123 for a day but got back to 124 and am holding there. I go for lab draws this week and a check up with my RNY surgeon next week. Should be fun for him to see all the results of the skin removal.
QOTD: Popcorn is my jamz. The 100 calorie bags are soooo good.
Menu: B: Bacon Gouda Breakfast Sandwich from Starbucks (my daughter accidentally took my debit card home with her so we met at Starbucks...she ransomed it for breakfast). L: Chobani Simply 100 "Crunch", D: Taco meat with shredded lettuce and pico de gallo, S: COOL WHIP!!! No...Popcorn...No! Light & Fit Greek Yogurt...yes.
Have a great day!

She is a smart cookie that one! She had my debit card because I didn't feel like changing out of pjs to go to the store last night. I sent her on a mission to the grocery and then she made dinner. She earned that Starbucks! LOL

Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your family & friends! Cool whip in the tub is the bomb, OMG I am salivating just thinking about it right now!!! Glad the scale is holding for you, that is awesome! Your surgeon will be blown away by your success & plastics!
Your dinner sounds yummy! I love taco meat and pico!!!
What about popcorn dipped in cool whip??? That's just dangerous right LOL
Hi menu gang,

Sorry to hear you missed the turkey & pumpkin pie, I mean what is thanksgiving without those, its just another day! ha ha ha
Sorry you did't feel well on the weekend, that's a bummer!
You know for some reason my pouch will not tolerate oranges since surgery, bummer cuz I love them!
Good morning menu peeps. I am milking this long weekend for all it's worth, and am taking today off too. I have a crew coming over to put up my lights. Yesterday I got the tree up, and the outside wreaths and garlands. Today will be finishing off the decorating. Maybe a Christmas movie too? Love Actually is my annual opening holiday season movie. I also love Elf, The Holiday and Eloise At The Plaza.
My weekend was wonderful, with the exception of my beloved Oregon Ducks getting their asses handed to them in the Civil War game. The perfect ending to a craptastic season. (Bitter? Who, me?)
QOTD: I love popcorn, especially the movie theater variety. Count me in for another one that can eat my weight in crunchy goodness. These days it's a bag of 100 calories Pop Secret. When I'm feeling fancy, I sprinkle a little powdered blue cheese on it that I got from Whole Foods. Yum!
Time Since Surgery: 2 years
B: Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette
L: chicken curry over butternut squash
D: prawns
i am going to have to add a snack or two in there, but am having a small pouch day.
Have a great day!
