Good morning everyone, happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend?  Mine was great!  Lots of things done, I feel accomplished but also lots of relaxing on the couch watching movies (Home Alone 1 & 2!!! Classics!!) with hubby & the pups! Full disclosure Menu Friends, I am a sugar addict, we bought some chewy Ginger cookies from the grocery store, exactly like the ones you get from Starbucks, so over the course of the weekend I ate 5 cookies, what is wrong with me?? I ate 5 cookies! I packaged them up last night and told hubby to take them to work, get them out of my sight!  I obviously can't control myself, my food (sugar) addiction is still very much alive & well, if it's in the house I will eat it and eat it and eat it!! It actually scared me and made me realize that I could so easily gain weight back. I might look slim & trim but the battle that goes on in my head of the fat girl who wants sugar is strong, a little too strong. It's been said a million times, but just to reiterate "they do surgeries on our bodies not our minds!!!" 

QOTD: let's talk popcorn!  Are you a popcorn lover? Yes, No?  Do you like it plain, or salt & butter, or do you sprinkle the flavours on that you can buy or do you go fancy & gourmet and get caramel or ones with add ins like "maple bacon?" Oddly pre surgery I was not really into popcorn (see above, sugar was my thing).  Now post surgery I love the 100 calorie bags of Smartpop popcorn, satisfies that need for "crunch."  Oh and white cheddar Smartfood, I could eat that for days, that stuff is so delicious!!

Time since surgery: 3 yrs

B: can of solid white tuna with balsamic dressing over 1/2 chopped red pepper 

L: 3.5 oz of homemade meatloaf with mushroom gravy & 1/4 cup of peas

S: 2 babybel & chopped celery sticks with 1 tbsp of roasted red pepper hummus 

D: 4 oz of meatloaf with mushroom gravy & 1/4 cup of peas

S: protein hot chocolate,2 babybel, 100 calorie bag of Smartpop popcorn 

TOTALS: 968 calories, 96 protein, 36 carbs, 56 fat

V: PatchMD vitamin patches are on 

L: 4 coffees, lots of cold water with a splash of SF cranberry juice throughout the day

E: walk dogs when I get home, gym for 5km run, then walk dogs again after dinner

Morning!

we had a great weekend with friends, got the lights on outside and some inside decorating started.

qotd: all of it. I love salty buttery the most, but haven't had any many many months, and it will be sometime before I do again.

I found a line of kale chips that are pretty good at giving me that  snack satisfaction on occasion.

D: tbd grocery day. I'm thinking some kind of white fish though.

I have tired to like Kale chips, but NOPE, not happening, I just don't like Kale so good for you!

Yeah, it's a brand I picked up at whole foods. It's good enough to satisfy the crunch craving, but not so good I look to eat the whole bag hahaha

Ahh popcorn... When I was really really suffering with the side effects from the band, pretty much ALL food was making me vomit--except for popcorn!! It was one of the only things I could eat that would really fill up my empty stomach and rarely made me throw up, so I became a freaking addict. I bought the microwave popcorn bags in bulk at BJs, and will probably eventually develop Alzheimer's disease and "popcorn lung" from the vast amount I was consuming, daily. I don't love kettle corn, but sometimes if it is just the right amount of salty and sweet, I'll enjoy it. But I mostly love movie theater butter and white cheddar. I could seriously eat an entire bag by myself in one sitting. Dangerous.

We had a nice weekend. I wish every weekend was 4 days! It was a perfect combination of hosting & cooking, relaxing, being productive (continuing the moving saga) and getting ahead on a little work. We decorated the inside of the house by putting up the tree and little decorations. And we started watching the best of the Christmas movies including Frosty, The Grinch and Elf :)

I brought a lot of food with me today. I think I am worried about detoxing from all the sugar I have eaten over the last few days, so I took some extra helpings! I haven't had a chance to plug it into MFP yet, but I will before I eat too much...

B: Decaf coffee & 2 HB eggs

S: 3 slices of cheddar and 3 slices of salami

L: 3 oz turkey, 2 laughing cow wedges and 4 Finn Crisp crackers

S: Pumpkin Chobani Flip Greek yogurt

D: more turkey??

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

I LOL'd at "popcorn lung" OMG I am still laughing...

Yay for Christmas tree decorating!  Oh I love your selection of Christmas movies, Elf is one of the best of all time!

Fingers crossed on the sugar detox, so far I am going well its 6:30pm as I write this and I have not had any "extras" I want some but have not had it, be strong!

Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg.

Lunch: french onion soup

Snack: cucumber with tzaki.

Snack: hot apple cider.

 

I hate food now...
