Good morning JB and menu friends!  We had a busy morning yesterday running around but quiet evening and it was great!  It rained most of the day yesterday so we didn't get the dogs out for their hike, they get bored just like kids do and start to act out, so it sunny here right now so after I type this up we are taking them out for a nice long hike to get them tired!!  Then hubby and I are going to the gym then we need to hit the grocery store, there was a few things on our list yesterday we forgot to get and we need it to make meatloaf today!  Then the usual laundry and tidy the house and menu prep for the week, get my chicken marinating with tandoori spices, make meatloaf today. We didn't end up putting the Christmas tree up yesterday but I really want it up so need to just push aside the "but I really want to lie down on the couch" and just get it done LOL.

QOTD: funny you should ask this question, I was putting on moisturizer after a shower the other day and I could not see my surgery scars. Its the weirdest thing.  I am only 3 yrs post op and they are pretty much invisible and its weird because I do scar, I guess my Surgeon did a really good job.

Best of luck getting the rest of your condo packed and ready to go, that's so exciting!!!   And proud of Grim for throwing out the mashed potatoes, that must have been hard and desserts be dammed, yes get rid of them!!  If there is dessert in my house I will nibble away at it until its gone!! Hence desserts can't be in my house, way too tempting for me and I have such a HUGE sweet tooth, HUGE!!!!!

B: other half of the western omelette from yesterday, the diner gives such huge portions I can only eat half and I take the rest home

L: not sure, feeling like a deli turkey and bacon sandwich with honey mustard

S: the usual, babybel and protein hot chocolate

D: homemade meatloaf and mushroom gravy and peas - will be eating this for a few days LOL

S: again the usual babybel, smartpop popcorn and protein hot chocolate

vitamin patches are on, lots of coffee done, and hike the dogs, go to the gym for a run!

Have an awesome day everyone!  See you back here tomorrow!

I had to run in the bathroom and check because I haven't noticed my scars in a long time and wasn't even sure if they were there anymore.  I don't see them at all - but the excess skin on my front side is pretty crepe-y, so the scars are probably in there somewhere....

finished going through my drawers and closets yesterday, getting rid of everything that either doesn't fit anymore or that is so outdated that I wouldn't be caught dead in it (like all my favorites from the 80s that I wanted to keep for if/when I could fit into them again.  I fit into them again all right, but....ugh.  I'd never leave the house in them!!  Anyone want some jumpsuits?  Dusters?  Lots of shirts/blazers/dresses with huge shoulder pads??).  Today I hope to do my Christmas cards (I hardly do any anymore - mostly for people who aren't on Facebook) and make some more SF blackberry sauce (I love it on plain or vanilla Greek yogurt!).  I also should freeze the Thanksgiving food after dinner tonight.  I'm starting to get tired of it, and the turkey won't last much longer.  We'll pull it out again in a month or two for another Thanksgiving feast!

17 months out:

B:  Chobani Simply 100 vanilla with SF blackberry sauce

S:  coffee with half & half, iced protein mocha/Miralax latte

L:  cold shredded turkey on top of shredded cabbage & carrots with miso-sesame dressing (had this yesterday - it was great!!)

D:  Thanksgiving again!   Turkey with 1 T gravy, a couple of tablespoons of stuffing and sweet potato casserole

maybe I can *finally* eat my dessert from Thanksgiving - if I can fit it in calorie-wise!

exercise - will probably go to my favorite yoga class tonight

OMG - great idea!!  I'll check when I get home - my husband took a couple of trash bags full of my clothes to Goodwill this morning on his way to work - I hope those jumpsuits weren't in there!!!  Now I want 'em back!  Although they may still be at my house....

QOTD: Actually you can barely see my incisions from WLS... I would have a tough time finding them. Obviously I have plenty of feet of suture lines healing from all my PS this year.... But every Doctor that sees them - Bariatric- Vein- ER --are amazed at how good they look for such a short time from surgery.... I mean as in 'gaga-ing' over them.... So a combo of heredity I guess, scar cream and Dr. M's skills....

Funny thing is I have a-- on the CDC list of rare diseases---disease called Morphea that creates scar tissue- which can happen on any part of your body but on me produces itself on my lower legs.... SO my legs are a train wreck and Doctors always think I have cellulitis or something, which I then have to explain what this is I have...then I get the side-eye because they've never heard of it...(rare- remember?) SO then I have to tell them it was biopsied and they sigh but usually still don't believe me.... They assume it is because of the obesity and now former obesity...but has nothing to do with it. It is a form of schleroderma, and it is unknown how you get it and there is no cure... So kind of odd that I could have this horrible scarring on one part of my body and good healing on other parts.... Didn't heal well from skin cancer removal on my leg- but that is in the vicinity of the morphea, so don't know if that is why.

OK am jealous of all the good leftovers....Turkey sandwich etc.....that to me is better than the original on Thanksgiving.... Did well on Thanksgiving, and have been eating - I don't want to say horribly, because I'm not eating cake- but unstructured and too much of a good thing. I have been on quest for crunchy and it hasn't happened....

Thanksgiving morning: 165. Friday: 166 (That's fine)...today 167. Uhm, no...wrong direction.....

Saw a pair of shoes I ordered last week from Macy's were on Black Friday special online...so was able to call and get a $10.50 price adjustment back. Yay! And I never realized the sales online were different than the sales in the store. I went to the mall last night and wanted to go to Uniglo to get something that was on sale and had to walk through Macy's anyway...so I brought the shoes....but they weren't on sale in the store...so I had to do it when I got home. I have also been eyeing their cashmere...hoping the price would bottom out- as it is soft and warm and now that cold is the new state after WLS it would be sooooo nice. In the store it was on 'sale' for $70 and you might have been able to use coupon which would have made it $56...when I went on Macys.com when I got home to look up the shoes again before I called- The cashmere was $40. So I bought several...LOL Won't keep them all but couldn't decide-1 crew, 1 turtlneck and a ponch-y thing.... we will see which one makes the cut.

I went to Uniglo to buy one of those packable down coats for my trip. It was on sale for $50 plus if you spent $75 you got $15 off so for $60 I got my coat and 2 gifts...so yay! I had tried buying the cheapie packable down one from Costco but it was no better than wearing a windbreaker....so it is going back!

Food? Oy.....

Trying to show some restraint...in my mind anyway ;)..... My usual Christmas shopping is I buy myself at least one item for every item bought for someone else....

My incisions are battle scares. No I am just joking. I never really looked at them. I have had so many surgeries that went through my belly button that you could play connect the dots. That is true.

Froze all of the turkey threw away everything pretty much. It was just the four of us so there wasn't a ton of crap around. Trust me I did eat carrot cake when I went out with a friend the other day. But felt horrible after so I won't try that again.

My pouch is just being cranky today. I am just on liquids for now. Just not hungry. I am going out with friends later to a diner. So I am sure I will get breakfast for dinner.

Enjoy the day.
