Sneeze and sharp pain

My lower left side is where all my pain is also. I coughed earlier and it hurt so bad too. I also dry heaved in the hospital like 4 times. Once I vomited up blood. I asked my surgeon if that could break something loose. She assured me that everything was stitched in there and that wouldn't happen.
Hope me your feeling better soon!! Each day will get better!!
I would not hesitate to call my surgeon if I had pain bad enough to make me cry. Unless it stopped immediately, like it was just a one time, brief thing... in which case, it would not have made me cry... maybe wince and groan and possibly double over... but if it is on-going, or repeating, I would call. That's why we pay them the big bucks, you know.
Hello Cate!
How are you doing?
Congratulations on your amazing journey...
I noticed that you experienced post op complications and ended up spending 21 days in hospital.
Would you mind sharing what happened and why?
My Roux N Y is scheduled January 4th.
I am a widow with 3 boys and I am worried about the possibility of complications...

IN THE END WE ONLY REGRET CHANCES WE DIDN'T TAKE.
My complications were the result of being very healthy. I heal extremely fast and scar tissue began forming before the first orthoscopic surgery was even finished. But we didn't know that at the time. The scar tissue kept growing and caused a twist and blockage. Every time my surgeon removed the blocking tissue it came back. Finally, she did an open incision surgery to find out what was going wrong which is when she actually was able to witness the rapid healing. In any case, she used some stuff that kept my tissues from sticking together and basically wrapped the upper part of my small intestine in it. Voila! No overgrowth of scar tissue. But it took four surgeries to get it right.
Looking back we had some clues...I have an on-going history of eczema which is skin overgrowth. I had a hysterectomy due to fibroid tumors which that surgeon said were more scar tissue than tumor.
Im a rare bird. less than 3 percent of the population heals like I do.

I don't know how far out of surgery you are -- but I had this and it's quite typical.
Of course, I am not a doctor and if you're concerned, I'd call. But, truthfully, it's super normal.
