Good Morning Daisy and Menu Friends! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA! I'm very thankful for this group!
QOTD: My daughter and I both have Oral B electric toothbrushes. We are using Crest but the dentist just suggested I switch to Colgate and I see it's a favorite so far on the menu thread.
Menu:
We're having Thanksgiving with family at 2 pm today. I am bringing the paper plates, napkins, silverware, cups (we don't like to do dishes) and relish trays. Oh and rolls. My family knows I'm not much of a cook and they also didn't ask me to bring pies or anything I couldn't eat (except the rolls). I will eat some turkey, maybe a tiny bit of the side dishes and I'll probably splurge and have a small piece of pie. I will log it all into MyFitnessPal.
Exercise: I plan to take the dogs for their walk before we go to Thanksgiving dinner since it will probably be dark by the time we get back home.
I am thankful for so many things in my life I could just burst!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! Since we are not eating until later this afternoon (and I am not doing the cooking), I am going to Palais Royal at noon and hoping to get a few Christmas presents!!
QOTD: Electric toothbrush. I am obsessed with my teeth. I use a Philips Sonicare and Sensodyne toothpaste. I wanted to be a dentist when I was younger. Also, I would never date anyone with bad teeth. Teeth are my thing.
Today I will eat carbs, carbs, and more carbs. I do not worry about my eating on special occasions. I figure I can go crazy on the 8-10 times a year we get together as a family. Special occasion eating did not make me obese. It was all the days of mindless eating in between.

Me, too!! When I was doing the online dating thing I was shocked by how many people are missing teeth.

I go carb nuts on the big three holidays too. Unless you are still looking to lose, eating on the holidays is not horrible. Turning two days -- Thanksgiving and Christmas -- into two months of eating crap is what's really bad.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! and Daisy I am thankful for you in oh so many ways friend. Thank you for being here.
QOTD: I like you Daisy I have both for the same reason, and use Colgate. The best thing I have is an oral irrigtor/water-pik type thing that attaches to my showerhead. I use it daily in the shower. I have been using it for at least 8-10 years and it is the best thing I ever did for my oral health. Reversed pockets of periodontal disease that were starting....and being told I needed to go in every three months for cleanings. I don't have dental insurance, so this is my insurance. I just went for a cleaning after 6 years- I know, crazy... but the hygienist said when it was done- "You barely had any build up"... that to me is incredible.... 6 years. This little wonder- Shower Breeze
So I am in the #beforebreakfastclub when it comes to exercise. Did the Pilates day of my 21-day-fix. Having to modify because of my car accident, but doesn't matter getting in some kind of physical activity makes me feel mentally better.
Today I am at 165. Right in the zone of Maintenance - +/-165 for me. Sometimes I think it is important to say things outloud- like when you make vision boards.... so here goes-----My mini-goal for this season is to be in my zone on January 1.... and knowing some days in this season will be celebrations, to make sure the other days are on point and back in the saddle. I think I will be able to enjoy the celebration days more, if I am not flying out of control. So this is my 3rd WLS Holiday season and the biggest test. I am no longer losing and can physically eat more if I want. So bring it on Holidays...I am ready :)
