Is it typical for Stomach Fat to be the last to start leaving?

I lost first in my face and neck and then my buttocks and thighs. I have lost some around my waist and breasts but not a lot. Is this typical? The place I want to lose the weight the most is being the most stubborn.

Same. I could fit in a size 10 right now if my waist was smaller. I've lost that much in my butt and thighs, but my waist is remaining stubbornly thick. I assume it will all even out eventually.

There is no rhyme or reason to how the weight comes off.... there is no 'typical'....just keep pushing forward and it will happen...

I have been feeling the same way. I have to wear a bigger size to fit my waist. I consulted a plastic surgeon last week and he said it is all skin, no fat.  Hard to believe, but it makes sense. Years of stretched out skin have to go somewhere. My legs are also covered with excess skin. As frustrating as it is, it is better than the alternative.

I also read on one of these boards before that you gain weight proximally and lose it distally, which I definitely found to be true (essentially you gain it in the mid section last and lose it from the appendages first). I remember someone telling me that my arms looked thinner (early on) and I was like WTH?  I don't care about my arms (well, eventually I did care, but I wanted to lose elsewhere).  It all adjusts a bit over time, but excess skin is just something we all have to deal with unless you are very young and have very elastic skin that rebounds well.

Same as you - the last 2 places were my breasts and stomach (most noticeable in the beginning were face and neck, but I do think I was losing all over at that point).  No real fat in my stomach now (good), but also not in my breasts (poor deflated things).

I lost it mostly from the top down, but like you, my stomach is still a problem, even though I'm close to goal.  I still have to wear a size 14 swimsuit to fit over my waist - but the leg holes are so big I could drive a truck through them!!

Fat on my boobs were the most stuburn.  They remained big until I lost my last 20 lbs.

The face- butt and stomach were first to go. Then legs arms, and last - the blobs.

My legs - thighs - are now the last fat reserve.

A friend of mine needed Lipo on her stomach. That part of her remained big after she lost most of her weight.

She was skinny - except for her belly.

I am losing just like a melting candle... fac and neck, then arms.  Butt has lost its shelf.  I used to be a 24 all over.  Now a 14/16 top and 18 bottom.

I have lost exactly the opposite way -- but I always have! I've lost a ton in my waist, stomach and upper body, and my hips and thighs are coming off slower. I have always hated my bottom half! I am now already wearing smalls/mediums in the top, but my bottom is still a 12/14/16, depending on how they're made. Does anyone else have the problem of all their pants having a huge gap in the waist, if they fit right in the hips and thighs?

I am three years out and my weight still comes off in different places. It shifts.
