Good Morning! Things are good, enjoying the time off with Emily and prepping for our Thanksgiving shindig (we baked cookies for 3 hours yesterday!). I am looking forward to hosting the Friendsgiving event we are doing tomorrow. Not sure how many people will stop in throughout the day since we are doing it open house style but I am really hoping it goes well.

QOTD: We have picked up a few things in the past but nothing too major. I remember last year we popped into Target and Emily got one of the huge stuffed teddy bears for like $10.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 3 months

Good morning menu peeps! I only work half a day today but I have plenty of "work" ahead of me at home! My husband is smoking turkeys and other goodies so he needs my help. So far we have orders for about a dozen turkeys, 3 briskets and about 10 racks of ribs and plenty of sides. I'm going to go ahead and post my Friday photo since I won't be around. One is the pit and the other is one of my dogs that thinks he's King of the pit! He's so funny!

QOTD: I went shopping on Black Friday years ago and didn't think it was worth it. I tend to be an impulse buyer so if I see everybody buying something I will buy it too. I will end up with a bunch of crap we don't need. I stick to online shopping.

B - the inside of a sausage, egg and cheese taco.

L - smoked cornish hen

D - ??? something off the pit I'm sure.

I am right there with Duff! I have been smoking meats and other goodies for 20 years. I've entered 2 BBQ competitions. This is the 1st year in a very long time that I'm not smoking the turkey. My wife wanted a little change this year. It's all good!

You and your husband have a smoker that I can only dream of! Maybe someday!
